No compromise would ever be made on the constitutional right of Imam Hussain (as) mourning; Declaration of Agha Moosavi demise Anniversary

RAWALPINDI, May 24: The programmes of Ayyam-e-Tarweej Afkar-e-Mousavi, held in connection with the fourth demise anniversary of the Patron-in-Chief of the Supreme Shia Ulema Board and Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi Al-Najafi (RA), have concluded. On this occasion, Quran recitations, prayer gatherings, conferences and memorial assemblies were held throughout the country.

A nationwide gathering was organized under the auspices of the family of Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafaria Agha Mousavi and Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafaria at the headquarters of the Shia School of Thought, Ali Masjid, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. The event was attended by religious scholars, zakireen, preachers, religious, political and social leaders, as well as TNFJ workers, mourners, founders of majalis, license holders, matami leaders, lawyers, members of the business community and people from different schools of thought from across the country.

Addressing the prayer gathering, Chief of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafaria Pakistan Allama Agha Syed Hussain Muqaddasi said that striving to instil intellectual awareness within the Shia community for the defense of sacred beliefs and doctrines was the hallmark of Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi. Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafaria Agha Mousavi was the guardian of national honor and dignity and an unparalleled protector of the prestige of true scholars. He was such a distinguished champion of freedom and truthfulness that he confronted authoritarianism and dictatorship and taught people to secure their rights through steadfast struggle. The sayings of Quaid-e-Millat remain a path of honor for mourners, and his voice still echoes today: The lesson of Karbala is that fear belongs only to God.

Allama Hussain Muqaddasi said that recognizing the deep conspiracies of extremism and deviation against Millat-e-Khair-ul-Bariyah, Agha Mousavi formulated five guiding principles: Wilayat-e-Ali, Azadari-e-Hussain, Hurmat-e-Sadaat, Respect for Marjaiyat and Centrality. Adherence to these principles shook the foundations of sectarian deviations and strengthened the ideological defense of the school of thought.

Allama Agha Muqaddasi stated that Agha Mousavi devoted his entire life to obedience and recognition of truth and service to the creation of God. Such a noble personality is a divine blessing. He added that the passing of Agha Mousavi was a heart-rending tragedy whose loss cannot be compensated. The dignity and simplicity with which Agha Mousavi departed for the hereafter reflected the blessings of piety, spiritual insight and the grace of Sahib-ul-Zaman (AS).

The Chief of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafaria paid tribute and gratitude to the family of Agha Mousavi and the daughters of Mousavi, whose efforts continue to keep the pulse of central leadership alive every moment. Allama Muqaddasi said that following the teachings, directives and legacy of his revered mentor and leader, the banner of Wila and Azadari would remain elevated from the nation’s headquarters, Ali Masjid.

TNFJ Secretary General Allama Raja Basharat Hussain Imami, while presenting the declaration of the gathering, stated that the fourth anniversary of Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi is being observed at a time when the season of mourning for Imam Hussain (AS) is approaching; when brutal American and Israeli attacks continue against the brotherly countries of Iran and Lebanon; when Palestine has been reduced to rubble; and when Indian-sponsored attacks are shedding blood in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa against Pakistan, the only nuclear power in the Muslim world. He said that the government controlling Afghanistan has forgotten the favors of the Pakistani nation and has become an Indian proxy, while efforts are being made to weaken the base camp of the Kashmir freedom movement by sowing discord in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

In light of Mousavi thought, the declaration made it clear to Muslim countries that the real objective of the colonial leaders is the establishment of Greater Israel. For this purpose, they will continue targeting Muslim countries one by one through various pretexts. Therefore, Muslim nations were urged to awaken from negligence and unite against Zionist ambitions.

The gathering paid tribute to Pakistan’s efforts aimed at stopping attacks on Iran and Lebanon. It was recalled that Agha Mousavi had been declaring for decades that Muslim countries should accept Pakistan’s leadership. The declaration urged those Muslim countries still eager to maintain close relations with India to abandon friendship with Narendra Modi, who openly refers to Israel as a fatherland and has provided it with the largest amount of weaponry for the destruction of Iran, Palestine and Lebanon.

The declaration expressed complete support for the ongoing operations of the Pakistan Army against Fitnat-ul-Hindustan and Fitnat-ul-Khawarij and paid tribute to the sacrifices of the armed forces and security agencies for the protection of the homeland and its peace.

The declaration also saluted the sacred blood of the martyrs of the Tralai tragedy, whose sacrifice exposed all hidden faces and networks of terrorism. It noted that the Pakistan armed forces had launched a historic operation against terrorist hideouts, the success of which would prove to be the key to lasting peace in the country.

The declaration called upon the government to take seriously the issue of thousands of Pakistanis expelled from the UAE. It demanded that alternative employment opportunities be arranged for those workers who were punished because of Pakistan’s international achievements and that the assets they had built through years of labor be recovered.

The declaration expressed concern over the recent patronage being extended to banned organizations. It stated that embracing proscribed groups for political interests undermines the sacrifices of the martyrs of Pakistan’s armed forces and adds to the suffering of people affected by terrorism. It questioned why organizations that are denied even a few hundred rupees worth of sacrificial hides through expensive newspaper campaigns are later seated in peace committees and granted respect for political maneuvering, thereby undermining the National Action Plan.

The declaration warned the Prime Minister and especially Field Marshal Asim Munir that if the practice of favoring such banned organizations is not stopped, Pakistan’s achievements on external fronts would lose their significance.

Expressing regret, the declaration pointed out that before Muharram, unusual forms were being imposed on mourners in certain cities of Punjab, requiring them to arrange lighting and remove obstacles on procession routes themselves. It questioned the role of the government if citizens were forced to undertake such responsibilities. It further asked why gatherings for weddings and entertainment are allowed, while restrictions are imposed on gatherings for the mourning of Imam Hussain (AS). It also questioned why people are permitted to block streets for personal bereavements while mourners commemorating the sacrifice of the Prophet’s family are subjected to legal cases and FIRs.

The declaration called upon Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to eliminate such elements that are bringing disrepute to her government. It reiterated rejection of the anti-Azadari SOPs introduced in Punjab during the tenure of the Imran Khan government, noting that they continue to be implemented vigorously and are now openly promoted. The declaration urged the government to avoid relying on incompetent advisers whose actions are negating the positive impact of government initiatives.

It emphasized that mourning for the grandson of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the protector of religion and Shariah, is the constitutional right of every lover of the Prophet and that no compromise would ever be made on this right.

The declaration further stated that all the lessons taught by Agha Mousavi remain alive. The participants affirmed their commitment to the security and unity of Pakistan and recalled how they stood among dozens of bodies in Tralai and demonstrated to the world how peace is protected. They insisted that their commitment to peace should not become a reason for their victimization. They emphasized that they had helped build this country and remain deeply concerned about its foundations. Pakistan, they said, stands upon the principles of Hussainiyat and will continue to do so.

The Wilai and Azadari gathering held during Ayyam-e-Tarweej Afkar-e-Mousavi, which reflected Shia-Sunni unity, paid rich tribute to the outstanding services of the spiritual guide, benefactor of Pakistan, defender of the foundational ideology, founder of the global movement for the mourning of Baqi, guardian of Hussaini symbols, advocate of the sanctity of Sadaat and respect for Marjaiyat, Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi (RA).

The participants resolved that they would never allow any harm to come to the pure teachings of Agha Mousavi. For the sake of Islam, Pakistan, the rights of the Shia community, true beliefs, Wila, Azadari, the sanctity of Sadaat and respect for Marjaiyat, they pledged not to hesitate in making any sacrifice under the direction of the Chief of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafaria, Allama Hussain Muqaddasi. They further pledged to fully support and implement the Code of Azadari that Allama Hussain Muqaddasi will announce from Ali Masjid, the center of the Shia community, for the forthcoming month of Muharram-ul-Haram.

The gathering was also addressed by Allama Azhar Abbas Haideri, Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Zakir Syed Shehnshah Hussain Naqvi and other speakers. The programme concluded with matamdari in which various mourning groups participated.
