Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala report from Islamabad, Rawalpindi

ISLAMABAD – March 13: Majalis and mourning processions in connection with Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala as announced by Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi continued on Saturday in twin cities of federal capital Islamabad and Rawalpindi like other cities of the country.

Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala (Muharram 16-25) is being observed across the country to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (AS) who protected the blood of Karbala Martyrs and disseminated the message of Hussainiyat.

In Islamabad, majalis were held in different imambargahs and azakhanas including Jamiatul Murtaza G-9/4, Markazi Imambargah Shah Allahditta and Imambargah Evan-e-Mustafa. The speakers threw light on the seerat and character of Beemar-e-Karbala who despite being chained fulfilled his duty entrusted to him by Allah.

In Rawalpindi, a majlis-e-aza was held at the residence of Zulfiqar Hussain Jafri. Central Secretary Information TNFJ Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi while addressing urged the need to follow the path of Hazrat Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (AS). He said Haideri courage and Hussaini determination practically displayed by Imam Sajjad (AS) in the bazaars and courts of Kufa and Sham is beacon of light for the oppressed world even today. MFP Guardian Council Chairman Abu-Bedar Ali also addressed.

Majalis were also held at Masjid Sakina (AS), Imambargah Jageer Ali Akbar (AS), Imambargah Sakhi Shah Nazar Diwan Syed Kasran, Imambargah Shaheedan-e-Karbala, Imambargah Hifazat Ali Shah and Imambargah Qasr-e-Zainab (AS).

High-level delegation of TNFJ meets up IM, presents written demands viz. Quetta incident, Ayyam-e-Aza

ISLAMABAD, March 12: A high level delegation of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan led by Syed Shujaat Ali Bokhari, Convener of the Central Muharram Committee called on Federal Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat and presented him a written memorandum about their demands viz. Quetta incident and Ayyam-e-Aza.

Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi Central Secretary Information, Ala Haider Central Secretary Azadari, Allama Ikhlaq Hussain Kazmi Joint Secretary of the Tehreek, Syed Iftikhar Hussain Mashadi, and Malik-e-Ashtar were also included in the delegation.

Syed Shujaat Ali Bokhari told the Federal Minister that Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya repeatedly invited the attention of the government towards restoration of peace and to take effective steps in this regards and Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi issued Code of Azadari, set up Azadari Control Rooms at Central and Provincial level throughout the country despite the fact that it was the responsibility of the government to do so because the government has the obligation to protect the life, wealth, property and rights of the people besides restoring law and order.

Bokhari lamented that Pakistan confronted worst type of incidents on the day of Ashoora in its history. He asked when the government was aware that the country is confronted with terrorism then what steps it had taken in this regard because none of the government representative held any Press conference or told about Muharram arrangements to the nation at any forum.

He repeated the challenge of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Moosavi with regard to Quetta incident that sectarianism does not exist in Pakistan. He said issuance of Anti-Terrorism Ordinance instead of Anti-Sectarian Ordinance indicates that the real issue is terrorism and not sectarianism because we are living together for the last 1400 years, therefore, act of any single person could not be termed the act of the whole school of thought. Anyhow, he said, effort was made to convert Pakistan into a sectarian State but it was thwarted by Ahl-e-Sunnat and Ahl-e-Tashayyo unitedly.

He said Pakistan is confronted with terrorism for the last two decades but the credit goes to Gen. Pervez Musharraf for imposing restriction on organisations involved in terrorism in the garb of religion. He said some people opine that Quetta incident was planted to harm Pakistan-Iran relations, which is not correct because we enjoy brotherly relations with all Islamic States including Iran and China and no power on earth could cause any harm to these relations.

He made it clear that neither Iran planted us here nor she leads us. Pakistan is our own motherland that was created through the joint struggle of Shias and Sunnis and they are also defending it jointly, he added. He said another reason of terrorism and government’s failure in making arrangements to check it, is the lack of contact with the people because the government has no contact with the representative organisations of recognised schools of thought.

Syed Shujaat Bokhari said some elements tried to reap the benefit after the worst incidents of terrorism reported from the whole country but Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya always advised its people to exercise patience in the larger interest of the nation and the country. He said they may have redirected Azadari processions from about 100 districts to somewhere else, but they avoided such happening because this motherland is ours where maintaining peace and solidarity is the responsibility of us all.

He said the lower level Administration always creates fear and harassment before Muharram while such things do not happen in other months. As a matter of fact, he said, all Muslims commemorate Muharram like all Muslims commemorate Ramazan and Eid Milad-un-Nabi. He said this year, the Administration created heavy problems for Azadaran desirous of participating in Matmi processions in the garb of security, for the first time but occurrence of incidents of terrorism despite that is a proof of inability and failure on the part of the Administration.

The TNFJ delegation demanded from the government to set up Azadari Control Rooms at the Interior Ministry and in all the four provinces including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas and publicise their contact numbers to facilitate Azadaran besides directing them to keep a contact with the Central and Provincial Control Rooms of the Tehreek as the Ayyam-e-Aza would continue till 8th Rabiul Awwal, the Tribunal formed to probe Quetta incident should be given a chance to carry out its probe openly without any hindrance and more than one judge should be included in it to make it effective, and those who are giving witness in this case should be provided protection, Administration officials posted at the time of Quetta incident should be stopped from infiltrating and dominating the enquiry, enquiry reports of earlier Quetta incidents of Saryab Road and Imambargah Kalan Meganki Road should also be made public and the culprits given exemplary punishment.

Convener of the Central Muharram Committee of the TNFJ said that the people of Quetta are hurt on continuous incidents, therefore arrests and harassment of innocent people would increase their unrest because those homes that have received dead bodies and injured could not involve themselves in jalao-gherao. He said elements that caused harm to the private property are the ones who always preferred politics of dead bodies. Therefore, restricted organisations could be the one that are involved in this activity, as they are ever ready to mould the situation. He said the government should tighten its noose around them and do not inflict more shocks and difficulties on innocent people.

The TNFJ delegation while stressing the need of effectively implementing the Anti-Terrorism Act to make the country a hub of peace in current situation diverted the Interior Minister’s attention towards restricted organisations that were not only operating by changing their names but were also joining political alliances, government also invites them on different forums that is tantamount to sabotaging the Anti-Terroism Act itself, therefore the government should take immediate notice of that.

The delegation demanded special protective measures for Ayyam-e-Aza till 8th Rabiul Awwal that include country-wide Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala being observed till 25th Muharram, Chehlum (Arbaeen-e-Hussaini) to be observed on 20th Safar, Demise Anniversary of Holy Prophet (SAW) and Martyrdom Anniversary of Imam Hassan Mujtaba (A.S.) to be observed on 28th Safar, and Chup Tazia processions to be taken out on 8th Rabiul Awwal marking an end to the Ayyam-e-Aza.

TNFJ Secretary General urges need of following Uswah-e-Hussaini

RAWALPINDI, March 11: Secretary General of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate has said that today the whole world of humanity was confronted with oppression and brutality therefore, following in the Uswah-e-Hussaini could get the oppressed rid of suppression and brutality.

He was talking to the office-bearers of TNFJ District Jhelum who called on him at the head of Syed Ikhlaq Hussain Naqvi here at Tehreek headquarters on Thursday.

Mazhar Ali Shah said, Muharram is commensurate with Gham-e-Hussain that is universal protest of the oppressed against oppression and brutality that would continue till restoration of righteousness and elimination of evil.

Terming the incidents of terrorism in Karbala-e-Mualla, Kazmain Sharifain, Quetta and Phalia on Youm-e-Ashoora a conspiracy of the enemies of humanity, he said such indecent tactics could not wipe out the commemoration of Mazloomin-e-Karbala. He said those who fired at and attacked Ashoora processions could not succeed in their nefarious designs and curse would be their ultimate destiny as the exemplary practical display of unity by recognised schools of thought i.e. Sunnis and Shias throughout the country on this critical juncture has proved that there is no Maktabi or sectarian conflict in this country.

He strongly demanded from the government to strictly implement the Anti-Terrorism Act, discourage the restricted groups at every level, and not allow them to operate under any new name come what may. He also demanded to unveil the conspiracy behind Quetta incident and giving exemplary punishment to its culprits as soon as possible.

He called upon the government that as Ayyam-e-Aza programmes continue till 8th Rabiul Awwal, therefore, the Muharram and Azadari Cells should be set up at Federal and provincial level and their contact numbers should be publicised through media for the convenience of Azadaran.

The delegation presented a report about Azadari problems and Muharram programmes of their district to the TNFJ Secretary General and reiterated their resolve to follow the Code of Azadari announced by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi in letter and spirit, during the Ayyam-e-Aza.

“Certainly the followers of Ahlu Bayt (a.s.) had committed no sin, and these incidents were a tactic aimed at creating rift among Muslims and tearing their unity in pieces,” he added.

“I pray in the court of Allah for glory of Muslims, great reward and forbearance for the sufferers, and elevation of ranks of the martyrs,” he concluded.

Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala continues: Majalis and processions held

ISLAMABAD, March 10: The programmes of Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala continued throughout the country on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. Majalis-e-Aza were held and Matmi processions were taken out by religious and Matmi organizations in all cities and towns.

In Federal Capital Islamabad, a Majlis-e-Aza established by former Finance Secretary of the TNFJ late Raja Jehandad was held on Wednesday at Dhok Shian marking the Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala.

Addressing the Majlis, Central Secretary Information TNFJ Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi said Azadari is supreme than anything else that is why we give priority to Gham-e-Hussain over all other things in Ayyam-e-Aza that is the source of blessing and survival for us. He said that mourning of martyrs of incidents of Iraq, Quetta and Phalia will be observed after the Ayyam-e-Aza are over by 8th Rabiul Awwal as announced by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Hamid Moosavi.

Allama Agha Ali Hussain Najafi in his address said that Hazrat Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (A.S.) is the Imam of religion and Shariat, and a symbol of patience and forbearance while his addresses shattered Yazidiyyat. He said Karbala has emerged again today as the Yazidi forces were bent upon rooting out humanity with the help of terrorism and in these circumstances, the oppressors the world over would have to make Uswah-e-Shabbiri and Sabr-e-Sajjad beacon of light for them.

Zakir Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Rattowal, Allama Zawwar Hussain Madani, Zakir Sibtain Shah Behl, Zakir Mumtaz Hussain Pidhrar, Zakir Ali Raza Shah Daudkhel, and other zakireen also addressed the Majlis.

Alam and Zuljinah procession was taken out after the Majlis that terminated at the Imambargah after marching through its designated route.

Moosavi says Quetta martyrs mourning after Ayyam-e-Aza, demands effective steps on ABK

RAWALPINDI, March 09: Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan has announced that Gham-e-Hussain (grief for Hussain) is foremost than all other grieves, therefore, mourning of Martyrs of Ashoora of Karbala-e-Moalla, Kazmain, Quetta, and Phalia will be observed after Ayyam-e-Aza (8th Rabiul Awwal).

He made this announcement while talking to the office-bearers of Central Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala Committee who called on him at the head of Qasim Al-Hussaini, here on Tuesday. He said for know-how and knowledge about the family of Muhammad (SAW) and Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) it was obligatory to highlight their days and achievements. For this purpose, he said, there is no better occasion than Ayyam-e-Aza that are observed from Muharram 1 to Rabiul Awwal 8 during which Azadari is given preference over all other matters to express devotion of love with these pious personalities.

He said this practice is considered Ajr-e-Risalat because Imam Aali Muqam (A.S.) and his near and dear ones wrote the history of unmatched sacrifices with their blood, for the protection and supremacy of religion and Shariat, and dignity of humanity and Azadari is organised in every nook and corner of the world to commemorate this sacrifice as it is the universal protest of the oppressed against oppression and terrorism.

He said martyrdom of Imam Aali Muqam (A.S.) is the acme of humanity and all grieves are lower in status against it, that is why we do not remember the departed souls of our near and dear ones during the Ayyam-e-Aza.

Agha Moosavi said the oppressed and Muslim States are at present confronted with the pressure from international Taghoot and their agents who desire to maintain their supremacy by labelling one accusation or the other and by increasing their uncalled for demands every now and then.

He said they have made the life of Kashmiris and Palestinians difficult; incidents of murder, arson, and conflict are rife in Afghanistan and Iraq, while Iran, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are their particular target at present. That is why, he added, international Taghoot has declared Saudi Arabia responsible for attack on World Trade Centre and was accusing Pakistan in the name of terrorism and extremism rather desires to sabotage our atomic and missile programmes by accusing our scientists of nuclear proliferation.

In addition they desire to change the educational curricula of Muslim States on the pattern of the one they introduced this game in Egypt because they are desirous of making the educational system free of Islamic influence, therefore, arrivals of colonial ministers in Pakistan and British foreign minister’s visit to some religious Madaris is meaningful!

He said colonial powers desire to take over the international situation of Muslim States in their own control so as to take full control of everything there changing the status of all including students.

In this situation, he said, our responsibilities have increased manifold, therefore, the rulers, politicians and the people should avoid taking any step that may create rift, spread anarchy, is contrary to the interest of the nation and the country, and may create new issues and difficulties, because our combined enemy desires to reap the benefit by creating rift and destabilising us.

The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Moosavi said that attention of powers that be in the Central and provincial governments including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas was invited towards restoring law and order situation through dozens of letters and telephones and also announced Code of Azadari before Muharram besides advising the government to set up Control Rooms at Federal and provincial level to resolve the possible Azadari issues, publicise the same through media, and the Administration should be directed to keep in touch and cooperate with the Muharram Committee of the TNFJ.

But, he added, none of them except one province and Azad Kashmir bothered to meet us or reply our letters. He said adoption of such an attitude on the part of government would ultimately create a host of new problems.

He called upon the government to make arrangements more effective to keep law and order during the countrywide Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala programmes while the people should remain alert and keep a strict eye on miscreants.

TNFJ Central Azadari Cell demands high-level tribunals for all Ashoora incidents, suspension of admin

RAWALPINDI, March 08: Convener of Central Muharram Committee of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan Syed Shujaat Ali Bokhari has demanded from the government to form a high level tribunal to probe incidents of terrorism on Youm-e-Ashoora in Phalia, Gilgit and Parachinar like Quetta, and to immediately suspend the Administration officials posted on that day in Quetta, so that they could not effect the probe proceedings.

He stated this while talking to the office-bearers of Central Ashra-e-Ayyam Beemar-e-Karbala Committee of the TNFJ at the Central Control Room of the Committee here on Monday.

He was apprised of the arrangements for countrywide programmes for Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala that is being observed from Muharram 16-25 and regarding nomination of conveners in all the four provinces including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas and other details.

Syed Shujaat Bokhari said it is crystal clear on everyone that the month of Muharram is respectable before all schools of thought as it is commensurate with Nawasa-e-Rasool Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.), his near and dear ones and sincere companions who maintained the supremacy of Islam by giving exemplary and unmatched sacrifices.

He said it is not a secret that international colonial powers and their agents were using all tactics to cause harm to Muslim and oppressed States and were misusing important Muslim occasions for this purpose. He said the incidents of terrorism in Karbala-e-Mualla, Baghdad, Kazmain, Quetta, Phalia and other cities of Pakistan on the occasion of Youm-e-Ashoora provide food for thought because it is not only a heinous conspiracy against Pakistan but the whole Islamic World and a part of colonial planning aimed at dividing Muslims and rule.

Therefore, he said, people should themselves remain alert in the interest of the nation and the country because keeping peace is not the responsibility of the government only but the people and all patriotic, religious and political parties are equally responsible for the same.

He said it is easy to create problems by adding fuel to the fire but it is difficult to die it down. He said the all issues related to public peace should be brought under discussion in the Parliament rather such a policy should be devised under which combined enemy is stopped from playing heinous play. Moreover, he said, electronic and print media are also under the obligation to avoid creating fear, harassment and rumour-mongering and should not publish anything that may hurt the feelings of anyone.

He noticed that some newspapers were publishing provoking articles in their foreign editions the fresh example of which is publication of a provocative article in Daily Ausaaf London that has sent a wave of concern in the Muslim ranks. Therefore, he said, the newspaper proprietors should issue strict instructions to their staff in this connection and take strict disciplinary action against those who fan biases.

Syed Shujaat Ali Bokhari made it clear that they are desirous of welfare of religion and motherland and promotion of peace and brotherhood, therefore, the government should form Azadari Cells and publicise their contact numbers forthwith, correct the law and order situation for smooth functioning of Azadari programmes, and get the Code of Azadari issued by the TNFJ implemented from Federal Capital to the lower level in letter and spirit.

He also strongly condemned the attack and setting afire of Islamic Centre and Mosque in France. He said Gham-e-Hussain is supreme over all other grieves while Azadari is a universal protest of the oppressed against oppressors, therefore, the mourning for all martyrs including that of Iraq and Quetta will be observed after Ayyam-e-Aza (Rabiul Awwal 8) as announced by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

‘Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala’ from 16-25 Muharram: TNFJ

RAWALPINDI, March 07: Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan has said that Hazrat Imam Ali bin Hussain (A.S.) astonished the world of humanity by setting the highest example of defending the blood of Martyrs and exercising patience and firmness.

He stated this while announcing to observe “Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala” from 16-25 Muharram in connection with the Martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (A.S.). He said Hazrat Syed-e-Sajjad (A.S.) shattered the Yazidi palaces despite being chained to fulfil his duty and God-given responsibility through delivering his speeches and sermons in the streets of Kofa and Shaam (Syria) and in the courts of Ibne Ziad and Yazid, and confronted the problems and difficulties with such a courage and bravery that it is the beacon of light for the whole oppressed world.

Agha Moosavi said talk about Prophets and Righteous men is the source of inspiration for our hearts and is an announcement of supremacy of Kalma-e-Tauheed that is to protect religious and Islamic values and respect human dignity. The Ayah-5 of Surah Ibrahim says about Hazrat Moosa (A.S.) that we sent Moosa (A.S.) along with Our signs so as to bring his people towards brightness from the darkness and remind them of Ayyam-e-Illahi (divine days), there are signs in it for those who exercise patience and offer thanks, that means that they are reminded of conditions and incidents of those days when mountains of problems and difficulties crashed on them and Allah showered His blessings because one feels settled down after hearing the situation from both sides, therefore, one should not get upset in difficulty and should not boast in happiness.

The TNFJ chief said from amongst these days are the days of Muharramul Haram during which Nawasa-e-Rasool Hazrat Hussain ibne Ali (A.S.) presented great sacrifice delivering height to humanity while Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (A.S.) performed a remarkable job of protecting the blood of Martyrs and for defence, survival and development of the message of Hussainiyyat owing to which the flag of Hussainiyyat is fluttering all over the world.

He appealed all countrymen to organize Majalis-e-Aza and “Pursadari” (condolence) programmes so as to highlight the highest goals and objectives of Hussainiyyat during the “Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala” and reiterate our resolve to utilise all our energies in defending the belief, survival and solidarity of the nation and the country and would thwart every conspiracy and mischief of enemies of religion and motherland by exercising unity, brotherhood and mutual understanding.

Meanwhile, Central Committee of the TNFJ has been formed to organize programmes during “Ashra-e-Beemar-e-Karbala” throughout the country. Syed Qasim Al-Hussaini has been nominated Convener and Malik-e-Ashtar Secretary of that Committee.
