TNFJ holds Mourning at Bari Imam Shrine after 16 Years; Biased Legislation dangerous for the country, says Muqaddesi
Islamabad, August 18: The Chief of Tehreek e Nafaz e Fiqh e Jafariya Allama Agha Syed Hussain Muqaddasi has said that the teachings of Islamic saints including those of Hazrat Shah Abdul Lateef Kazmi Bari Imam (R.A) ensured the spread of Islam by elimination of biases and intolerance from the society. Legislation based upon biases and discrimination becomes a danger for the existence of any country. Safety of Pakistan can be ensured by following the principles of Pakistan’s founding fathers. Passing of the controversial Criminal Law (Amendment) Bill from the National Assembly and Senate of Pakistan is a matter of concern for all patriotic forces. Not only Mashaheer but disrespecting an ordinary person is also Haraam (forbidden) in our religion however; the loop holes and deficiencies in the proposed amendment bill will only strengthen miscreants and spread extremism and terrorism. Proscribed groups have been celebrating since the controversial bill was passed from the National Assembly and Senate, whereas the people of Pakistan’s trust in democratic institutions has badly shaken promoting an impression that proscribed terrorist groups and their facilitators have successfully used the two houses in favor of their personal desires and designs. We will continue our constitutional struggle till the complete eradication of the controversial bill and will never accept any law aimed at uprooting the very foundations of beloved Pakistan. Mob attacks on Churches and members of Christian community in Jarranwala are part of a conspiracy to tarnish Pakistan’s Islamic identity. Proscribed groups and all related elements involved in promoting extremism and intolerance must be stopped to ensure peace and harmony.
He said this while addressing to a large gathering of pilgrims and Azadars at the holy shrine of Hazrat Shah Abdul Lateef Bari Imam in Islamabad on the occasion of annual Majlis e Aza and Pursadari held under the auspices of Pursa Bari Imam Committee TNFJ Federal Capital Islamabad.
Agha Syed Hussain Muqaddasi said that Pakistan was founded on the basis of Islam and not a particular sect while all schools of thought jointly offered countless sacrifices for its creation so that followers of all schools of thought feel free to spend their lives in accordance with their beliefs and ideologies. Therefore, it is mandatory for Pakistan’s existence to ensure delivery of equal rights to all schools of thoughts.
He vowed to thwart all takfeeri conspiracies through Shia-Sunni unity in accordance with the principles given by the late Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. He said that the bill was passed in haste without taking opinion from different schools of thought while the demands to send the bill to relevant standing committee and have necessary debate was also ignored which raised serious concerns among peace-loving sections of the society. TNFJ’s Chief further reminded that Pakistan is already faced with numerous challenges including economic crisis and therefore, new problems must not be created in such a grave situation. At the annual Pursadari, Allama Agha Syed Hussain Muqaddasi offered special prayers for Pakistan’s safety and strength, resolution of economic crisis and internal as well as external challenges facing the country. Prayers were also offered for unity and success of Muslim Ummah. On this occasion, Majlis e Aza was held inside the perimeter of shrine that was addressed by different Ulama and Zakireen while Matami organizations performed Matamdari.
