TNFJ declares Criminal Law Amendment Bill an attack on Pakistan’s ideology; Agha Muqaddesi pledges to take all constitutional measures to protect Shiites fundamental rights

Islamabad, 10 August 2023:          The Chief ofTehreek e Nafaz e Fiqh e Jafariya Allama Agha Syed Hussain Muqaddasi has said that the Criminal Law Amendment (Balsphemy) Bill is an attack on Pakistan’s founding ideology. We will never let the foundations of Pakistan be uprooted. Not only Mashaheer but disrespecting a common man is also haraam in our faith. Democracy, Constitution, and Human Rights have been openly violated by making a deal with the proscribed organizations. License to subjugate other sects has been issued to miscreants. There exists no Shia-Sunni conflict in Pakistan. Efforts to impose ideologies of one sect over other must be stopped. The amendment bill is a clear violation of Quran and Sunnah. Relevant institutions must move forward to save Pakistan from becoming hostage to extremists. Every patriotic person must unite to protect Pakistan of Quaid e Azam and Allama Iqbal. Blasphemy has become a global problem and that all religious and political parties must be taken in confidence to formulate a strategy that could stop blasphemy against Islamic heroes. One must remember that we will take all constitutional measures to protect Maktab e Tasahyyo’s fundamental rights and will never allow anyone to transform Pakistan into a sectarian state. We respect ideologies of all other sects and will never accept any law against our own faith and beliefs. He said this in his presidential address to a meeting of TNFJ’s central command.

Allama Hussain Muqadasi noted that the biggest incident of blasphemy against holy Prophet (PBUH&HP), Ahl ul Bait (A.S) and pious companions (R.A) took place in Karbala while this amendment bill is aimed at hiding that worst act of blasphemy in Karbala. Ahl e Tashayyo have been confronting the disrespect of holy Prophet (PBUH&HP), Ahl ul Bait (A.S), pious companions and Umhat ul Momineen (R.A) for centuries. Azadari of Imam Hussain (A.S) is the most effective and global protest against blasphemy of the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP), Ahl ul Bait (A.S) and pious companions (R.A). It is an honor that Tehreek e Nafaz e Fiqh e Jafariya under the command of Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi founded the global movement against disrespect and demolition of shrines associated with Mashaheer e Islam in the cemeteries of Jannat al Baqi and Jannat al Muallah. Self-realized definition of “disrespect and blasphemy” will produce a new wave of revengeful activities and curbs on religious freedom. Pakistan is already been accused of having intolerance and extremism; the amendment bill has opened a new gateway to suppress other sects and minorities in the country. Such kinds of actions will result in defaming Pakistan at global stage.

The chief of TNFJ further said that we are the followers of Moosavi and therefore, cannot be diverted from the path of Hussainiyat by the threats of jails and killing. No matter how many laws are formed; Yazeediat will always remain condemned while the spirit of Hussainiyat will stay alive forever. Meanwhile different committees were formed to handle situation produced by the amendment bill and take further actions.
