TNFJ delegation meets speaker National Assembly for Shia Issues

ISLAMABAD, July 12, 2023:           A representative delegation of Tehreek e Nafaz e Fiqh e Jafariya (TNFJ) met with the Speaker National Assembly Raja Parvez Ashraf.

The delegation was led by the Secretary General of TNFJ Allama Bisharat Hussain Imami while the Secretary Muharram Committee Azadari Cell Syed Hassan Kazmi, Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Shaukat Abbas Jafri, Irshad Ali Naqvi, Maulana Malik Ijlal Haidery were also present in the meeting. On this occasion, the Secretary General TNFJ Allama Bisharat Hussain Imami briefed the Speaker National Assembly on the grave and volatile situation of Parachanar as well as the unjust restrictions on Azadari along with his detailed concerns.

Speaker National Assembly carefully listened to the demands of TNFJ’s delegation and assured positive actions about them and said that the government believes in providing equal rights to all schools of thought. Raja Parvez Ashraf said that he will brief the Prime Minister on the situation and that no stone will be left unturned to ensure peace and harmony. He said that every Muslim is the Azadar of Imam Hussain (A.S) while we also used to run Sabeels of drinking water during the mourning processions. Peoples Party is the advocate of religious freedom and therefore, special instructions will be issued to the relevant administrative authorities.

The Secretary General Allama Raja Bisharat Hussain Imami demanded to take notice of the unfair restrictions on Azadari within the four walls. He said that the confiscation fundamental religious rights will not be allowed in accordance with the footsteps of Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

Talking about the discontent among the followers of Maktab e Tashayyo, he demanded that the government must ensure compliance with the proposals of Moosavi Peace formula and Moosavi Junejo agreement. He reminded that the educational curriculum issued under the garb of Single National Curriculum includes clear deviations from the teachings of Quran and Sunnah therefore separate curriculum of Shia Islamiat must be restored for the students belonging to Maktab e Tashayyo or otherwise, the course about Islamic teachings and history must only include the commonalities.

TNFJ’s delegation highlighted the issue of booking innocent people in Schedule-IV and termed it as oppression and brutality as well as a way to extend relief to the proscribed and extremist organizations. The delegation also vowed to continue the struggle of Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi under the leadership of the chief of TNFJ Agha Syed Hussain Muqaddasi.

The Speaker National Assembly Raja Parvez Ashraf said that unity and harmony among different schools of thought and religions is part of our manifesto and therefore, we will take along all sections of the society to make Pakistan a hub of peace.
