RAWALPINDI, March 12: Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of the
Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh Jafariya Pakistan while expressing deep shock and grief over
the victims of terrorism TNFJ Karachi President Syed Anwar Ali Tirmizi, Zulfiqar
Haider, Mohsin Ali, Ahsan Ali, Abbas Ali, police constable Fazal Islam in Karachi
and Gul Hasnain Naqvi, Malik Muhammad Ali in Mahmoodkot District
Muzaffargarh, has announced two-day mourning throughout the country to pay
homage to all these Shuhada.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said after the Shah-e-Najaf Rawalpindi
incident, heinous murder of Dr. Aal-e-Safdar Zaidi, Dr. Muzaffar Ahmed Samon
and the other day that of TNFJ Karachi President Syed Anwar Ali Tirmizi and
others, and firing on former Director of the Kidney Centre Karachi Dr. Jafar Naqvi,
Dr. Bilal Jamil and social leader Shahnaz Ahad were open acts of terrorism. He said
continued and unending incidents of terrorism despite issuance of Anti-Terrorism
Ordinance and imposing restrictions on terrorist groups is an open challenge for the
government. Expressing his grave concern over government’s failure to control
terrorism, he demanded from the government to root out terrorism physically instead
of making verbal tall claims and avoid testing our patience. He said all those who fell
victim to terrorism are our countrymen and offspring and attack on them is the attack
on us.

Agha Moosavi while expressing heart-felt sympathies with the bereaved families of
Shuhada prayed for the departed souls to rest in eternal peace and advised the
people to remain peaceful and express hatred against terrorist groups who have
become active again in different outfits and with different names. He opined that
continued acts of terrorism is the act our perpetual enemy in a bid to divert the world
attention from anti-Muslim riots going on there. He said our enemy desires to achieve
her nefarious designs to perpetuate terrorism in the economic jugular vein of Pakistan
i.e. Karachi. He our combined enemy is bent upon creating anarchy within our
motherland so as to destabilise it but, he said, we would thwart her heinous
conspiracy with unity and brotherhood.

demanded from the government to utilise all its energies and resources to root out
terrorists, arrest the assassins of all Shuhada including that of Anwar Tirmizi and give
them exemplary punishment. Meanwhile, Hojjatul Islam Syed Mohsin Al-Hussaini,

2-day high-level TNFJ meeting adopts a number of resolutions

RAWALPINDI, March 11: The two-day high-level meeting of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh Jafariya Pakistan that was presided over by Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, adopted a number of resolutions regarding important national and international issues. According to Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Central Secretary Information of the Tehreek, the participants of the meeting in a resolution strongly condemned the Israeli aggression against Palestinians and called upon the OIC to summon its emergent meeting and, like Arab League, ponder over the peace formula presented by Saudi Prince Amir Abdullah besides adopting a joint strategy. The resolution also strongly condemned the anti-Muslim riots in India taking the toll of thousands lives and setting hundreds of towns and villages ablaze as a result of which Muslims have been forced to migrate to other cities. The resolution made it clear that the Indian government was responsible for these incidents. The resolution while supporting India’s Muslim Law Board for rejecting the Hindu leader’s formula on Ayudhia demanded from the International Court of Justice to take suo moto action. Condemning Indian brutalities against oppressed Kashmiris in the Held Valley the resolution said brutalities and oppressive activities in Kashmir could have been avoided, anti-Muslim riots would not have initiated in Indian Gujerat, and Christian churches would not have raised to ground in India had the United Nations Resolutions got implemented. The resolution made it clear that the only solution to Kashmir and Palestine issues lay in implementing the United Nations Resolutions in letter and spirit.

Another resolution said while terming the government steps taken for solidarity of Pakistan, welfare of the people, and rooting out terrorism need of the hour, expressed grave concern that incidents of murder and terrorism were still going on despite issuance of Presidential Ordinance against Terrorism and imposing restrictions on terrorist groups and the recent incident of terrorism at Masjid & Imambargah Shah-e-Najaf Khayaban-e-Sir Syed Rawalpindi, and some incidents reported from Karachi and Multan stand witness to it. The resolution said Interior Minister’s statement that network of terrorists and extremists has been broken could only prove right if Pakistan is turned into “Amnistan”. A resolution expressed grave concern over continued detention of innocent people including TNFJ workers while the terrorists were roaming about freely. The participants of the meeting strongly demanded from the government to set all these innocent people free immediately, arrest the real terrorists and give them exemplary punishment.

Yet another resolution demanded from the government to implement the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement and give Maktab-e-Tashih representation in all government departments on the basis of equality besides giving four fiqhi books and other books including Nehjul Balagha equal status in the Education Department because Pakistan’s official religion is Islam under the 1973 Constitution that is commensurate with recognised Sunni and Shia schools of thought. Therefore, they all should be given their rights on the basis of equality and rights of none of them should be encroached upon because such practice could create a sense of deprivation amongst them creating new problems. The real Nazria-e-Asaasi could only be exercised if they all are treated keeping to the norms of justice and fair-play.

Another resolution adopted at the meeting expressed its concern that chief of the international Taghoot i.e. America desires to destruct all Muslim and oppressed States in the garb of New York and Washington incidents. At present Afghanistan has been turned into “Zakhmistan”, preparations were under way to attack Iraq, while they were keeping nefarious designs against China, Russia and Iran also. The United Nations therefore is under the obligation to fix the international Taghoot that was bent upon destructing the whole world of humanity just to fulfil its self-interest. Yet another resolution while expressing concern over Indian army’s deployment on Pakistani frontiers made it clear that Pakistan is the victim of aggression from the day one. Pakistan had been extending invitation for continued dialogue to India but she was avoiding all such offers. The resolution said that the whole world should keep in mind that issues could not be resolved through war but through mutual understanding, therefore India should pull out its forces and initiate dialogue with Pakistan.

Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate, Secretary General, Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan presented the annual report on Tehreek’s activities while the provincial delegates apprised the meeting about the organisational achievements and problems faced by them in their respective areas. The activities of Tehreek’s central departments were also reviewed while the Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi approved the future line of action for the ensuing month of Muharramul Haram in the light of the proposals received from the participants. Agha Moosavi will announce this line of action through a Press conference.

RAWALPINDI, March 10: Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh Jafariya Pakistan has called upon the government to give up all precautions and fix the terrorists without being afraid of foreign States that patronised these terrorists. He stated this while delivering presidential address at the two-day high-level meeting of the Tehreek here on Sunday. Agha Moosavi in his address termed the government steps aimed at rooting out terrorism as good. He said the government should give it a constitutional shape that Sunni and Shia are two big recognised schools of thought and terming any one of them as “non-Muslim” will be a cognizable offence. He said the sectarian monster took roots during the era of Gen. Zia when an announcement was made to make Pakistan a sectarian State but Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya thwarted this conspiracy because we consider that under the Pakistan Constitution, the official religion of the State is Islam and not any particular Maslak or sect. He said President Gen. Pervez Musharraf’s resolve not to make the country a secular State or “Mullai” State and instead making it an Islamic welfare State is a welcome step and in line with the principles of
Quaid-i-Azam.

He said we had termed the Presidential announcement of imposing restrictions on extremist and terrorist groups as a courageous step but the administration has arrested TNFJ workers and other innocent people and has not yet released them despite clear-cut instructions from the Interior Ministry while the workers of banned parties, on the other, were roaming about freely and not a single day was passing without any terrorist activity.

Allama Tajud din haideri Vice President TNFJ

The TNFJ chief said the incident of Shah-e-Najaf Khayaban-e-Sir Syed is the worst incident of its nature in Rawalpindi in which a dozen Nimazis were martyred by terrorists while dozens others were injured but unfortunately there is no advancement in this case yet. He strongly demanded from the government to immediately arrest the culprits of this incident and give them exemplary punishment. Similarly, he said assassins of Shuhada who fell victim to incidents of terrorism in Karachi and Multan should also be arrested immediately and given exemplary punishment. He called upon the government to release all innocent people including those who belong to TNFJ and arrested without any reason. Moreover it should be investigated that who are the elements responsible for preparing wrong lists in a bid to save the banned organisations and involve the innocent people instead, departmental enquiry should be launched against such elements because this act of theirs is aimed at sabotaging the President of Pakistan’s steps to root out terrorism.

Syed Mazhar Ali Shah (advocate) Secretary General TNFJ presenting annual report

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi called upon the people to remain vigilant because police could not perform its duty everywhere. Condemning the Israeli and Indian brutality in Palestine and Kashmir, he said we are enemies of the oppressor and friends of the oppressed. He said the colonial powers and their chief i.e. America are under the obligation to take notice of the oppressive activities on the part of Israel and India massacring unarmed Palestinians, Kashmiris, and Muslims in Indian Gujerat and get Israel and India declared terrorist States. He said Nehru himself took the Kashmir issue to the United Nations after this issue is not that of Pakistan or India but it has become an issue of the United Nation instead. Therefore, he said the United Nations should resolve this issue in the light of its Resolutions keeping to the desire of Kashmiris. He expressed his believe that Palestinians and Kashmiris would become victorious if they remained firm to their stand and struggle.
