![]()
RAWALPINDI, February 27: Shuhada who fell victim to terrorism at Masjid and Imambargah Shah-e-Najaf Khayaban-e-Sir Syed Rawalpindi laid to rest in the presence of thousands of mourners with wet eyes and heavy hearts. Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan led the Nimaz-e-Janaza. Agha Moosavi while announcing a 3-day mourning in memory of these Shuhada expressed deep sense of shock and sorrow over the martyrdom of Nimazis as a result of indiscriminate firing on them by terrorists besides terming this incident an open act of terrorism. He said we have to give priority to Islam and Pakistan in all circumstances and we have put our life, wealth, honour and dignity on stake for the purpose. Moreover, we could not be threatened of death or diverted from the right path and the nation would have to exercise restraint in these circumstances following in the foot-steps of Syed-us-Sabireen Imam Mazloom Hussain ibne Ali
Talking to national and international media on this occasion, the TNFJ chief said our combined enemy was on the back of firing incident at Rawalpindi’s Masjid Shah-e-Najaf because Pakistan has turned nuclear and our perpetual enemy desires to sideline Pakistan from leading the Islamic World. Answering a question he said, he still stands with his point of view that there is no Maktabi or Maslaki issue in Pakistan, we have created this country together and would also save it through joint efforts, rather we are trying our utmost for its development. He said at present the enemy has deployed its armed forces on Pakistani frontiers and the Indian prime minister Vajpayee had said that he can manoeuvre whatever he likes in Pakistan thus he is behind this conspiracy, we have thwarted it earlier and would continue to thwart it in future. Answering another question, he made it clear that Pakistan is not a State of any particular Maktab, Islam is its basic ideology that is commensurate with all schools of thought that are united and the Nimaz-e-Janaza of Shuhada today is a solid proof in this connection as they participated in the joint Nimaz because we share our woes and grieves. He said our children study together, we work in offices together, and will also defend the country together.
Agha Moosavi said the cause of concern is that the Anti-Terrorism Ordinance issued by President Gen. Pervez Musharraf is not being implemented. He said black sheep are found all around, Vajpayee and Sharon would not come here to carry out terrorism because they could deploy their agents for the purpose. He said whether it is New York incident or a drama of attack on the Indian Parliament, we have condemned terrorism from wherever it was reported. He demanded from the government to put the people belonging to banned groups to task who were roaming around freely. He disclosed that he was summoning a high level meeting of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya in which the future strategy would be finalised. He reiterated his resolve to turn Pakistan into “Chamnistan”, and would thwart every conspiracy and mischief.
The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said the Punjab Law Minister is present on this occasion and he should keep in mind that we do not consider a person as a friend who discriminates between Sunni and Shia. He said the government should nab terrorists and lodge protest on diplomatic level with those States who help them. He said the most important thing to do is to restrict active politics from Maslaki and Maktabi fora. He said we would not allow the active politics on sectarian basis succeed. He said Pakistan is not a “Jageer” of any particular school of thought but the combined heredity of us all and we have to defend it jointly. He told the Law Minister that the Federal Interior Ministry have informed us in writing that orders have been issued to set free the innocent arrested TNFJ people but the Provincial Home Department was not implementing that orders. He said police chiefs of various districts say that they have not received any such order from the top brass, therefore, he said all innocent people should be set free immediately otherwise we would be justified to understand that the government was not keeping any difference between the peace-loving and the terrorists. He opined that when the representative organisation of Millat-i-Jafariya i.e. Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya certifies then the person involved should be set free. He said he is not only concerned with Shias but if any innocent Sunni brethren were also arrested, then they would also be the part of his heart. He said he has not come from New Delhi but is a family member of Bari Imam and Shah Chan Chiragh, therefore, would like to ask the government not to loose the noose on banned organisations and implement the Presidential Anti-Terrorism Ordinance effectively. Dr. Khalid Ranjha, Provincial Law Minister assured Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi that the government will implement all demands of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya. Lauding the patriotic and policies of Agha Hamid Ali Moosavi he said taking constructive steps to restore peace in the country was the top government priority. I.G. Police Punjab Malik Asif Hayat, DIG Rawalpindi Range Farid Nawaz, SSP Marwat Hussain Shah and other top officials were also present on the occasion. He said all Sunni and Shia are brothers and strength of Islam and are a concrete wall against the combined enemy and anyone who tries to sow the seeds of hatred in them is not a friend of Islam and Pakistan rather a tool in the hand of Iblees (Satan). He said the colonial powers along with their agents were bent upon today to root out the oppressed nations and Muslims one by one. He said Israel is involved in massacre in Palestine while BJP has made the life of minorities in India difficult; they destructed the Babri Masjid and have now started playing ‘holi’ with the blood of Muslims to save their government ultimately unveiling their secular stance. He said where are the United Nations, European Union, America and their allies today who get Muslims punished on one pretext or the other terming them terrorists and extremists? He said what is going on in Palestine and the way Muslims are being burnt alive, and whole of their cities and towns are being set ablaze? Why India is not being termed a terrorist State for these inhuman and condemnable acts and why ban is not being imposed on terrorists there? Such an attitude, he said proves that they were doing so on the behest of international colonial powers that were following dual policy.
