SPECIAL MESSAGE OF AGHA SYED HAMID ALI SHAH MOOSAVI Qauid-e-Millat-e-Jafariya Pakistan on the Occasion of Youm e Sharika tul Hussain In connection with 15 Rajab Martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zainab (SA)

Brethren in faith!

Man is honorable and respectable, and the standard of excellence and preference is abstinence and piety, which is the ultimate goal of humanity and mankind.

Old or young, man or woman, high and elevated is only who is on the rank of piety and righteousness. As the prophets (AS) of Allah enjoy the status of excellence amongst whole humanity and amongst them Holy prophet Dana-e-Kul The Seal of Prophet hood Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), likewise in the women world only four women enjoy the status of honor and preference: Hazrat Asiya Bint-e-Mazahim (AS), Hazrat Maryam mother of Hazrat Esa (AS), Hazrat Khadija Bint-e-Khawelad (AS) and Hazrat Fatimah Bint-e-Muhammad (AS). One could imagine the honour and dignity of Hazrat Fatimah (AS) from this that Holy Prophet (SAW) was used to stand up in her respect, and this status bestowed to Hazrat Fatimah (AS) was not just because of being a daughter but He (SAW) by dint of knowledge of prophet hood and apostleship was aware of that she is that great figure whose respected spouse Hazrat Ali ibne Abi Talib (AS) and her chaste progeny (AS) would keep alive and secure the objective of Tauheed (monotheism), Risalat (prophet hood) and Wilayat, and would grant it firmness and stability. As Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) is the successor of prophets (AS) likewise Shareekatul Hussain (partner of Hussain) Hazrat Zainab Bint-e-Ali (AS) is the successor of all chaste ladies. It would be enough to say about her education and training that her teacher was her respected grandfather the prophet of Islam (SAW); and who suckled her milk was her mother Hazrat Batool (AS) whose milk had the effect that those who absorbed it would keep alive Deen & Shariah; and her respected father was Haider-e-Karrar (AS) whose brought up was with the saliva of Prophet Ahmed-e-Mukhtar (SAW). Imagine, on which rank of piety and abstinence she stands! That’s why one of her title is “Masoomah Sughra”. If her father possessed inspired knowledge she was not of low status as well. When in Bazar-e-Kufa, Hazrat Zainab (AS) shook the hearts of people of Kufa with her addresses, Hazrat Imam Zainul Abideen Syedus Sajideen (AS) said:

“You by the grace of Allah are such Faheemah (intelligent) who need not to be taught or instructed.”

As Imam Hussain (AS) was vicegerent of Panjtan (AS), Hazrat Abbas (AS) was of Hazrat Ali (AS), Hazrat Shehzada Ali Akbar (AS) was of Holy Prophet (SAW) and Hazrat Shehzada Qasim (AS) was the successor of Shehzada Sulh o Aman Hazrat Imam Hassan (AS), likewise Hazrat Syedah Zainab (AS) was the representative of her respect worthy mother Hazrat Fatimah Zahra (AS). She was co-partner of her brother in patience & forbearance and afflictions & troubles on every occasion. She enjoyed the same status in the Divine court as Imam Hussain (AS); She had the same struggle and endeavors in integrity of Deen & Shariah as was of Imam Hussain (AS), that’s why I’m calling her “Shareekatul Hussain (AS)”. Hazrat Zainab was on the acme of abstinence and piety. Ameer al-Momineen says: “ZOHD” (abstinence) consists of three alphabets: “zey, ha and daal”. “Zey” means a man forsake Zeenat (adornment), “ha” means desist from Hawa o Hawas (greed and lust), and “daal” means say good-bye to Dunya (the world). Hazrat Zainab was abstainer of all these three. She sacrificed her children in the path of Allah for Divine pleasure; from amongst riches she had a shawl on her head and two earrings in ears, which she spent in the path of deen; she always preferred pleasure of Allah to lust and greed, and giving up everything stood by the side of Imam Hussain (AS). She possessed sagacity and wisdom, therefore, whenever Hazrat ibne Abbas (RA) narrates from her, he says:
. Every sage, intelligent and wise person comes to know viewing Hazrat Zainab (AS)’s heights and greatness that who brought up in the holy family of Muhammad (SAW) & Aal-e-Muhammad (AS), her sublimity and elevation is not surprising. So to say that she was Saani-e-Fatimah Zahra (AS) with regard to chastity & purification, abstinence & righteousness. She worshipped Allah with devotion, sincerity and Irfan (intimate knowledge of God). This was the reason that she enjoyed high greatness in Khanwada-e-Ahle Bait-e-At’har (AS).

Dr. Ahmed Bahishti writes: “When she visited the grave of the prophet of Islam (SAW) in nights, Hazrat Imam Hassan (AS) accompanied her on right side while Imam Hussain (AS) on left and Hazrat Ali (AS) himself walked in front of her. And on reaching near the holy grave, Hazrat Ali (AS) was used to extinguish the candles. Hazrat Imam Hassan (AS) asked his father: ‘Baba (father) why do you do so?’ he replied ‘I’m afraid lest anyone’s look be cast upon your sister Zainab-e-Kubra (AS)’” – [Zanaan-e-Naamdaar dar Quran wa Hadees wa Tareekh]

When Hazrat Zainab (AS) visited her father, he was used to get up and give her his seat and respect her. She was her father’s trustee. After the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (AS), Imam Hassan (AS) caused to bring that specific camphor which was the souvenir of prophet (SAW); Hazrat Zainab (AS) brought that camphor with which fragrance the air became scented. She enjoyed great respect in the sight of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) as well. Imam entrusted Secrets of Imamate to her. She was Saani-e-Ali ibne Abi Talib (AS) in eloquence & rhetoric, boldness & bravery.

Rajab 15 is the martyrdom day of Hazrat Zainab (AS) – that Zainab (AS) about whom an Egyptian lady, Dr. Ayesha Bint-e-Shaty writes: “Zainab Bint-e-Ali ibne Abi Talib (AS) is a Mujahida amongst the Mujahideen of the tragic event of Karbala. That incomparable and unique lady who purchased all troubles & afflictions, difficulties & pains for her; adopted patience and forbearance but not let her brows to bend; took the greatest responsibility on her shoulders after the tragedy of Karbala and fulfilled it very beautifully. That responsibility and that strategy, the result and fruit of perfectly acting upon which was the eradication of Bani Umayyad and Aal-e-Abu Sufyan.” – [Zainab Batlah-e-Karbala]

There are different traditions about her holy grave. Some tell that it’s in Medinah; some say its in Egypt while some others are of the reading that it’s in Damascus, Syria. In present era, Hawza Ilmiya has also been constructed near her holy shrine – a resort for all – in the capital city of Damascus, Syria.

Umayyad struggled to erase Islam using the name of Islam but Hazrat Zainab (AS) with her greatest and magnificent addresses and speeches in Bazaars of Kufa and Sham, and courts of Yazid (L) and Ibne Ziyad (L) not only saved Islam, disgracing them, but also granted it eminence and exaltation. Even today, yazidiyat is afraid of Zainab (AS)’s challenge. The entire Islamic Ummah is under obligation to Hazrat Syedah Zainab (AS) that she bashed and shattered the joints of Yazidiyat.

In present age also, Istemariyat (colonialism), which is the second name of Yazidiyat, has once again raised head and has become a great danger for world of humanity, particularly Islamic world is its specific target; massacre is going on in Kashmir and Palestine which are presenting the picture of Karbala. If we want to get rid of Colonial powers and its stooges we have to adopt path of Hussainiyat and Zainabiyat, and prefer death of honour to life of humiliation.

On the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zainab Ulya (AS), we extend our condolence to Imam Sahib al Asr Wazzaman (ATF), Maraje Uzzam and Islamic world and desirous that whole Millat follow teachings of this greatest personality.
