in connection with
Universal Chehlum
on 25 November 2005
of martyrs of tragedy of earthquake 8 October 2005

Brethren in Islam and Iman!

Human being is honored,

He has
been considered honorable and protection of his life, wealth, honor and dignity
has been made obligatory, and removing his pains and worries has been termed
necessary. In fact a human being is he who is useful for others. Poet of the
East says:

Human being has been created for easing pains,
Otherwise number of angles was not less for obedience.

Islam which is the most favorite, great and the most complete religion, always
desires human dignity. Therefore where it has given priority to brotherhood
there it has also deemed helping others important. Human being has been showered
with much excellence and superiority. He who prefers others and their
necessities above himself, is successful.

And
they prefer others above themselves though poverty becomes their lot. And whoso
is saved from his own avarice, such are they who are successful.

Motherland Pakistan which came into being in the name of Islam faced such
heavenly and earthly sudden tragedy on October 8 that is the biggest and
heart-rending tragedy of the century in which hundreds of thousands of people
regardless of their religion and faith were died and martyred, countless
wounded, became handicapped and homeless, women became widows and children
orphans. No doubt it is unforgettable tragedy and severe trial.

The
whole world rendered cooperation in its capacity and it is still in
continuation. Practical display of unity, solidarity and sacrifice by every
Pakistani is a bright example for the whole humanity. All those who died in the
tragedy of earthquake were part of our body. Still now we have to do much, to
share pains of the quake-affected.

on the occasion of universal chehlum (fortieth) of all those died and martyred
in the tremor announced by Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan, the whole
nation prays for elevation of ranks of all compatriots without any
discrimination and early recovery of the wounded.

The armed forces young men, religious, political and social organizations have
proved by helping open-heartedly on the occasion of earthquake the affected
brothers and sisters that we share our pains and grieves. Also foreign countries
and NGOs are playing a significant role in relief works which is commendable. On
international level, though heavy aid has been rendered but it is insufficient.
Donors’ conference called by the government was a good step but its results
should come to light. Moreover the government has also set up a parliamentary
committee to oversee aid activities, it is a sound step, but the government
should also known that parties outside the parliament are also working
selflessly, these should also be taken along with. As severity of cold is
increasing, therefore effort should be made so that the deserving people would
not remain deprived in any case, and protection of their life, wealth and honor
is duty of us all. More responsibility goes to the shoulders of the government
because it has authority and implementing force. Therefore, arrangement of
residence, food and apparel for quake-affected is necessary as a first step,
then all-out efforts should be rendered for their restoration on permanent
basis.

This is extremely necessary to save relatives of the quake-affected from going
to be separated. And the tribes and families they belong to must be fully
protected because lineage and family are identity and recognizance of a human
being. Therefore, Allah says in Surah Al-Hujaraat:

O
people! We have created you from a man and a woman, and made your tribes and
castes so that you may recognize each other.

The government is also duty bound to keep accounts of aid completely fair in
order to increase dignity of the nation and the country.

TNFJ is purely a religious organization which considers politics in obeys
religion and shariah and which always has raised voice for oppressed, have-nots
and weak. From the very first day of the tragedy of quake, relief committee of
TNFJ has fervently appealed to the philanthropists to deposit their funds
open-heartedly in the Presidential Relief Fund, or deliver to their nearing
mosques, imambargahs, and bodies of their own maslak or office of Central Relief
Committee of TNFJ. We are doing all these for achievement of pleasure of the
Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful, because in it lay our deliverance in the
two worlds. In the end, we heartedly pray:

May earthquakes
could not reach to your stability O’ motherland
Either we undergo catastrophes but may you remain safe till the Last Day

Wassalam
Foot-dust of humanity
