Azadaran!
As some articles enjoy superiority over other articles the world over, a grain over other grains, a type over other types, a quality over other qualities. Similarly, some figures enjoy superiority over others and one of these figures is Arbaeen (40), therefore, Allah Says:
(We promised Moosa for 30 nights (to give Taurah) and We completed it increasing tens nights in it. so the Allah’s promise was fulfilled within 40 nights and (on departure) Moosa told his brother Haroon you remain Khalifite in my nation, correct them, and do not follow the path of those who create riot)
Hazrat Moosa (A.S.) had promised with Bani Israel that after getting freedom from Pharaoh, he would bring such a Book for them in which there would be commandments. Bani Israel reminded Hazrat Moosa (A.S.) of this promise, and then Hazrat Moosa (A.S.) requested Allah to send the Book. He was directed to come to Koh-e-Toor (Mount Sinai) and fast for a month and then again was directed to keep ten more fasts. In this way, after passage of 40 days (Arbaeen), Hazrat Moosa (A.S.) was bestowed with Taurah (the Book). Hazrat Moosa (A.S.) did not leave his Ummat without a successor even for 40 days, then how can Ummat of the Holy Prophet (SAW) be left without a successor after his demise? Hazrat Moosa (A.S.) was one of those resolute prophets over whom the Holy Prophet (SAW) enjoyed supremacy.
The Holy Prophet (SAW) is Afzal-ul-Ambia and Khatam-ul-Mursaleen (Seal of the Messengers), who got fame for his trustworthiness and truthfulness for 40 years, after which Gabriel (A.S.) announced his prophethood by saying
 . About the figure Arbaeen (40), the Holy Prophet (SAW) says:
(A person who purifies his deed for Allah for 40 days, Allah brings out wisdom from his heart to his tongue.)
Hazrat Imam Moosa bin Jafar (A.S.) quotes a saying from the Holy Prophet (SAW) about the figure Arbaeen (40):
(Any person from Ummat who learns 40 such Ahadees by heart in which people look towards him for the affairs of religion, Allah Will turn him wise and knowledgeable on the D-Day)
Thus the figure of Arbaeen (40) is great. Grandson of Rasool-us-Saqalain Shahzada-e-Konain Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) presented the greatest and exemplary sacrifice in the hot plains of Karbala along with his offspring, companions and supporters to protect the religion and Shariat and for the human dignity that not only revived the religion and Shariat but also blessed mankind and humanity with acme and excellence. Therefore, the oppressed and have-nots who are confronting with chief of the colonial powers Bush, Zionists and Hindus in Kashmir, Iraq and Palestine for achievement of their rights to independence are taking guideline from the Martyrs of Karbala.
Today, when we talk about Arbaeen, then Arbaeen-e-Hussaini comes to every body’s mind. In other words “Arbaeen” has become commensurate with the name of Imam Hussain (A.S.), and Arbaeen-e-Hussaini (fortieth of Syed-ush-Shuhada) is the day to pay respect to those who were martyred in way of Allah, whose movement was the movement of Prophets and Messengers. Being inheritor of the Prophets and Messengers, he made it clear on the world by sacrificing his life for protection of message of Tauheed, Risalat, Wilayat, survival of human dignity that Islam preaches peace and tranquillity, guarantees survival for mankind, and desires blessing for it. Islam is supreme and will remain so. Same is reality and truthfulness and that is what Hussainiyyat is.
At present the world of mankind is confronted with the oppression and brutality of Dunya-e-Yazidiyyat and the Yazids of this era i.e. Bush, Omer Sa’ad, Ibne Ziad and Hurmala of this era i.e. Vajpayee, Tony Blair and Sharon, have made the life of Iraqis, Kashmiris and Palestinians difficult. They are dreaming to rule the whole world that would, Inshaallah, not come true. No one including the United Nations could stop their heinous aggression. In these circumstances, if the oppressed nations and Muslim people desire to live with honour then they will have to follow the path of grandson of Rasool (SAW), Hussain ibne Ali ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) who preferred death in honour over life in disguise, and said:
(I find death nothing but good luck and in my view, spending life with oppressors is bad luck, grief and nothing else)
I would like to repeat a sentence from Khateeb Aal-e-Muhammad Allama Syed Azhar Hassan Zaidi (Late) that: If there was no Hussain (A.S.) then there would have no Islam; but if there is no Zainab (S.A.) then Hussain’s (A.S.) name would have been nowhere. The way Hazrat Zainab (S.A.) and Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.) provided the proof of their sincerity and responsibility by protecting and defending the valuable inheritance of Martyrs of Karbala, keeping safe from going waste the precious blood of Martyrs of Nainawa, delivering their speeches and Khutbaat with courage and valor in the streets of Kofa and Shaam and in the courts of Ibne Ziad and Yazid, and promoted the objective of Hussaini mission with steadfastness and strength which is called Azadari, the tyranny and Yazidiyyat are afraid of which because it is a universal protest of the oppressed world against the world of oppression and brutality. Thus they (Hazrat Zainab (S.A.) and Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.)) made eternal arrangements to keep it (Azadari) continue till the Zahoor Purnoor of Qa’im Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.).
Expressing our condolences to Khanwada-e-Muhammad and Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) on the occasion of Arbaeen-e-Hussaini, in this hour of trial and grief, we resolve that even our generations will not let any one cause harm to the mission of “Wila” and “Aza” following in the footsteps of their forefathers and while continuing their support to the oppressed and expressing hatred against the oppressors would prove through their character and deeds that Azadari is our jugular vein.
