Protest
rally in Islamabad against demolition of holy places 

ISLAMABAD,ISLAMABAD, December 24: Majalis-e-Aza, protest rallies and Matmi protest processions were organised in Federal Capital Islamabad like other cities of the country on Monday to mark the “Youm-e-Inhidaam Jannatul Baqee” as announced by Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi to lodge protest against the destruction of holy graves in Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Mualla. A big rally was taken out from Darbar Aalia Hazrat Sakhi Mahmood Badshah Kazmi Al-Mashadi under the auspices of District Jannatul Baqee Committee of the
TNFJ.

Those who led the rally are: S.A. Bokhari Chairman TNFJ Political Cell, Allama Syed Akhlaq Hussain Kazmi Chairman Tanzeem Shia A’aimma Masajid Pakistan, Hojjatul Islam Allama Syed Hussain Muqaddasi Secretary General Tanzeem Al-Madaras Jafariya Pakistan, Allama Basharat Hussain Imami District President TNFJ Islamabad, Allama Sajjad Hussain Gardezi, Allama Syed Guftaar Hussain Sadiqi Imam Jumma-wal-Jamaat Masjid-e-Jafariya I-9 Islamabad, Allama Syed Fakhar Abbas Zaidi, Allama Muhammad Abbas Zaini Chairman Wahdat Ulema-e-Pakistan, Allama Zawwar Hussain Madni, Allama Liaquat Hussain Shirazi, Allama Saqlain Haider Al-Haideri, Alhaj Abuzar Bangash Supreme Commander Mukhtar Force Pakistan, Syed Asadullah Ghalib Senior Deputy Supreme Commander, Barkhurdar Shaheen District Commander Islamabad, Raja Faisal Abbas District President MSO, Zakir Syed Zulfiqar Hussain Shah Moorti, Zakir Syed Mukhtar Hussain Kazmi and others.

Addressing the protesters at Aabpara Chowk, Allama Basharat Hussain Imami said reconstruction of holy mazars is a joint issue of the Muslims the world over therefore Muslim rulers should launch a joint struggle for the restoration of dignity of the Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Mualla. Allama Hussain Muqaddasi said if mazars of Mohsin-e-Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal exist in Pakistan then under which Islam and Shariat the holy graves of Mohsina-e-Islam and daughter of the Holy Prophet (SAW), Ummahatul Momineen and Sahaba Kubaar were destructed? Allama Sheikh Ijaz Hussain said those who have destructed the mazars of Islam’s holy personalities do not deserve to be called Khadmain Harmain Sharifain. The rally was also addressed by Barkat Ali Jafri Special Representative from TNFJ Sindh and young Khatib of the Mukhtar Generation Syed Jone Ali
Mashadi.

Syed Tayyab Al-Hussain Deputy Chairman of the Mukhtar Students Organisation presenting a resolution amongst vociferous slogans of the participants of the rally called upon the OIC, United Nations, Arab League and champions of the human rights to give immediate attention towards this important issue and exert pressure on Saudi Arabian government to take practical steps for restoring the honour of these graves through reconstructing the same. The resolution also called upon the government to exert pressure on Saudi government on diplomatic level for the reconstruction of holy mazars as envisaged in the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement. The participants of the rally raised vociferous slogans against the destruction of the holy mazars in Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Mualla.

Later the participants of the rally returned to Darbar Sakhi Mahmood Shah performing Matamdari and Nauha-Khwani. A large number of people belonging to different schools of thought participated in the Matmi protest. Alternate traffic arrangements were made during the procession while a heavy contingent of district administration officials and police escorted the procession.
