Ashoora Day observed with majalis, processions; Moosavi says no hurdle in Azadari will be allowed

RAWALPINDI, January 09: The Youm-e-Ashoor in memory of Nawasa-e-Rasool Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his 72 faithful companions was observed with traditional religious spirit, devotion and respect throughout the country Thursday.

The day began with Aamal-e-Ashoora in mosques. The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi led the Aamal at Ali Masjid Satellite Town. Masaib-e-Ashoora were also delivered on this occasion.

In Rawalpindi, main Youm-e-Ashoor procession was taken out from Imambargah Col. Maqbool Hussain and Imambargah Hifazat Ali Shah Bohar Bazar. Zuljinah procession taken out from Imambargah Ashiq Hussain Teli Mohallah merged into the main procession. Mourners of Imam Hussain (A.S.) performed Zanjeer-Zani and presented ‘Pursa’ of the Imam Aali Muqam (A.S.) to the Holy Prophet (SAAW) on this occasion.

The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi participated in the procession, offered Ziarat of the taburrakaat and performed Matamdari.

Talking to media and Azadars on this occasion, Agha Moosavi said that the greatest sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) was for the dignity of humanity, and supremacy of the religion and Shariat. The sacrifice of the Imam Aali Muqam (A.S.) was for the whole humanity that is why the centre of struggle carried out by the oppressed and have-nots is Karbala without any discrimination on the basis on colour or creed.

He said the lesson of the Karbala is that fear only from Allah. He said Pakistan came into being in the name of Islam and according to Moeen-ud-din Chishti Ajmeri Hussain (A.S.) has been declared the basis of La Illah. Therefore, he added, Hussainiyyat is in the foundation of motherland and its survival and defence also lay in Hussainiyyat.

He said satanic forces are active in promoting biases from the day one so as to stop Muslims from becoming united. Actually she desires them to divide in countries, sects and Masalik. He further said that we have thwarted this conspiracy and have always said that whosoever tries to create rift between Shia and Sunni brethren is neither Sunni nor Shia but is the satanic agent.

A large number of mourners engaged themselves in heavy Zanjeer-Zani and Matam-e-Qama at Bohar Bazar Chowk, Trunk Bazar, and Habib Bank Chowk. The procession turned into a big rally after reaching Fawwara Chowk where addressing the participants, Central Secretary Information of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi said the invaluable sacrifice of Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) was for survival of religion of Islam and humanity.

The Imam who was brought up in the lap of Risalat (SAW) preferred to be beheaded by practically refusing Be’sat of liar and debaucher Yazid and preached a universal lesson to freedom fighters not to compromise but confront the tyranny and Yazidiyyat.

Strongly condemning the Peshawar incident, he said we are inheritors of Sabr-e-Hussaini and would thwart every conspiracy of the combined enemy by following peaceful policy and promoting mutual unity and brotherhood on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Moosavi.

Among vociferous slogans of thousands of participants, Zaidi said that all schools of thought are getting rid of banned groups therefore the government should impose ban on their activities and coverage by the media.

He lauded the Federal and Provincial governments for setting up Muharram Control Rooms on the call of TNFJ and the best arrangements made by the Administration of Rawalpindi and Islamabad for Muharram. Azadari is not limited to any particular fiqh or group rather it is the combined inheritance of all schools of thought that is why all Shia and Sunni brethren observe the Shahadat of Shuhada-e-Karbala, set up Sabeels and make arrangements for Nazr-o-Niaz.

Demanding passage of the Hangu Ashoora procession through its designated route he said no hurdle in Azadari will be allowed come what may.

Thousands of Matamdars reiterated their resolve to offer all types of sacrifice on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i- Jafariya Agha Moosavi for promotion of Wilayat-e-Ali and promotion and protection of Azadari. Ch. Mushtaq also addressed the gathering.

A resolution presented by Abu Nasm, Secretary Muharram Committee of the TNFJ District Rawalpindi said that Pakistan is based on Hussainiyyat and its success lay in adopting Hussainiyyat. The whole world knows that oppressed and brutality could only be checked with the name of Hussain Ibne Ali (A.S.).

The resolution said that the country is confronted with terrorism for the last three decades while every today is accepting the 25 year old point of view of Agha Moosavi that a terrorist keeps no religion, Maslak or a country, he is only a terrorist and should, therefore, be tackled in that context. The resolution said that Pakistan has played the role of front-line ally after 9/11 and is receiving back the Drone missile attacks in return. He said the world know how we were targeted through terrorism in 1971 separating half of the country as a result but no one including the United Nations suggested any punishment for the terrorist perpetual enemy.

As a result she is putting the whole blame of Bombay incident on us but the world rulers including the OIC were keeping quiet. The Indian rulers are accusing Pakistan of Bombay incident but they should tell whether they are ready to accept the responsibility of the terrorist acts being committed in Pakistan. The resolution said that we strongly condemn terrorism wherever it is being committed.

The resolution called upon the Islamic World and the Pakistani rulers to wake up from the deep slumber, take a lesson from Ashoora and give priority to death in honour over life in disguise. The resolution said that if they resolve to live like Sher-e-Khuda Ali (A.S.) and die like Shaheed-e-Karbala Hussain (A.S.), then no satanic force could cause any harm to us.

The resolution made it clear that if war was imposed on motherland Pakistan the enemies of Islam and Pakistan will get a tough response and every child of Pakistan would be visible like a young solider. The resolution said that there is no Maslaki or Maktabi conflict in motherland, Sunni and Shia Makatib or united like a bouquet. We had made Pakistan jointly and would defend it jointly too. We all are followers of Rasool (SAAW), Aal-e-Rasool (A.S.) and pious Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.) and no power on earth could create any rift amongst us. We all Makatib i.e. Sunni, Shia, Deobandi, Ahle Hadees and even minorities would prove a concrete wall against the enemies of the religion and the motherland.

Strongly condemning the targeting of shrine of Hazrat Imam Moosa Kazim (A.S.) in Kazmain Sharifain during Ashra-e-Muharram, the resolution said that Arab League, OIC and the United Nations by not condemning the incident have proved that they are following the dual policy.

Another resolution condemned different educational boards for issuing examination schedules during Ashra-e-Muharram. The resolution made it clear that we keep Azadari-e-Imam Aali Muqam (A.S.) dearer than anything else therefore the powers that be should take strong steps for restoration of law and order so that the Azadars could observe Gham-e-Hussain in peace.

Another resolution made it clear that Azadari Muharramul Haram is commensurate with Shuhada-e-Karbala and the month of Safar-ul-Muzaffar with Aseeran-e-Karbala, therefore load-shedding should be avoided during these two months.

Yet another resolution demanded public holiday on 25th Muharramul Haram for Youm-e-Shahadat of Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.) and 20th Safar-ul-Muzaffar for Chehlum of Shuhada-e-Karbala throughout the country.

Later, participants of the main Ashoora procession reached Raja Bazar where they performed historic Zanjeer-Zani. Zuljinah processions taken out from Imambargah Kashmirian Tyre Bazar and Darbar Shah Chan Chiragh also merged into the main procession at Purana Qila.

The main procession terminated at Imambargah Qadeem after passing through Jamia Masjid Road and Imambara Chowk. The participants of Zuljinah processions taken out from Imambargah Yadgar-e-Hussain Satellite Town and Imambargah Baltistania Angatpura performed Zanjeer-Zani at Banni Chowk.

Mukhtar Students Organisation District Rawalpindi had set up Azadari Camp at Fawwara Chowk while Ibrahim Scouts had set up Medical Camps at Habib Bank Chowk, Raja Bazar and Jamia Masjid Road to facilitate the Matamdaraan.

Office-bearers of Divisional and District Muharram Committees of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya and MFP jawans remained along with the procession throughout.

RAWALPINDI, January 07: The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that observing Ashoora regularly is the habit of righteous people. He said the sacrifice rendered by Nawasa-e-Rasool Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his near and dear ones in Karbala for the protection of Sha’air-e-Islami, promotion of Kalma-e-Haq, human dignity, and protection of religion and Shariat is the source of success for the world of humanity and the oppressed world in every era. This was stated by him in his message issued on Youm-e-Ashoor (10th Muharramul Haram, 1430 Hijra) that is being observed throughout the country on Thursday, January 8 with devotion and respect. He said Ashoora is the day of remembering the courageous incidents that took place in the month of Muharram in which the Shahadat of Nawasa-e-Rasool Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) wrote a new and golden history of patience, forbearance and sacrifice. He said the Maktab-e-Karbala teaches a lesson for freedom fighters, oppressed, have-nots and for those who are struggling for reality and the righteous path. He said Hussain Ibne Ali (A.S.) gave a practical lesson of human friendliness and supporting human rights to the world of humanity and the oppressed nation, Islamic World, independence movements of Kashmir, Palestine, Iraq and who are victims of colonial powers for showing enthusiasm, courage and bravery in achieving freedom of their rights and independence of Al-Quds Al-Sharif.

Agha Moosavi called upon the Muslims the world over and the oppressed nations to stabilize their relationship with those who sacrificed their lives in Karbala and derive lesson from the seerat and character of Farzand-e-Ali (A.S.) and Zehra (S.A.) and their sincere companions while the world of humanity should benefit from the Majalis-e-Aza, and Azadari processions. He said the great personality of the Khanwada-e-Muhammad (SAAW) and Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) Imam Hussain (A.S.) honoured the world of humanity with honour and dignity by presenting exemplary sacrifice and Shahadat-e-Uzma on the day of Ashoora. Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his companions were surrounded by the enemies of independence and freedom in Nainawa and his family members and offspring were confronted with all types of danger but even in this dangerous situation, Hussain Ibne Ali (A.S.) maintained his commitment and said in a brave manner: “By God, I will not bring myself before you like a disgraced person and not flee from your site like a slave. Ibne Ziyad, who was adopted by Banu Ummayad has left me with two options i.e. get murdered or accept humiliation. But I accept being murdered and would not like to live in disgrace and giving in to you while accepting humiliation is far away from our home. There is no room of it in our sea of life. It will neither please Allah nor Rasool (SAAW) and men in faith. Neither that pious lap would be pleased who brought me up nor those who are honourable and firm because they all will never give priority to accepting the subservience of mean and debaucher persons over the murder of generous and brave men. The death in honour is better than life in disguise”—Alhof.

The TNFJ chief said that Imam Hussain (A.S.) proved that Shahadat is life, and the life of oppressor is actually death and ferocity. He said Imam Hussain (A.S.) wrote a will before ensuring his journey from Madina to Kufa and handed it over to Muhammad Hanfia after putting his stamp on it. It goes: “With the name of Allah Who is Beneficent and Merciful. This is a will from Hussain Ibne Ali (A.S.) in the name of his brother Muhammad Hanfia. Hussain (A.S.) stands witness that there is no one to be worshipped but Allah and no one shares Him. Muhammad (SAAW) is His Abd and His Rasool (SAAW) who brought righteous religion from Him and Hussain (A.S.) also stands witness that heaven and hell are Haq and there is no doubt in the Day of Judgement and there is no doubt, Allah Will give life to all those who are in grave”. After stating his ideology about Tauheed, Nabuwwat, Risalat and Qayamat in his will, Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) spelled out the objectives of his journey in these words: “My Kharooj is neither egotistical nor for any fun. Neither my objective is to carry out oppression and excess. My Qayam is for the purpose that I desire to correct the Ummah of my grandfather (SAAW) that I perform Amar Bil Ma’aroof and Nahi Anil Munkir so as to follow the seerat of My Nana (SAAW) and my father. Now if anyone accepts my invitation considering is a righteous step he has chosen the path of Allah and if he rejects my invitation then I will keep patience to the extent that Allah may make a decision between myself and these people and He is the best decision maker. Oh, brother! It is a will for you that my abilities are from Allah, my faith is in Allah and I have to return to Him.”—Maqtal Khawarzmi.

Agha Moosavi said that Imam Hussain (A.S.), in his will, pointed out towards the biggest reason behind his Qayam and Kharooj which is Amar Bil Ma’aroof i.e. commandment for doing good and rooting out of evil spread by the un-Islamic government of Yazid and non-Shariah and inhuman attitudes. In other words, the Imam (A.S.) declared that if Yazid did not seek Baia’at even then Hussain Ibne Ali (A.S.) could not keep quiet because his differences were not limited to Baia’at only but the issue was that Yazid and Banu Ummayad were becoming the source of all types of oppression, suppression, brutality, social evils and changes in the religion and Shariat. Therefore, Hussain (A.S.) made it clear that correcting these mistakes, performing Amar Bil Ma’aroof, revival of his Nana Rasool’s (SAAW) Sunnah and the seerat of his father, and restoration of justice and fair-play was his responsibility in Shariah because he is brought up by Nabi (SAAW) and Ali (A.S.) and would come in the field in a manner to root out the mischief, conspiracy and evil of the Banu Ummayad and will tell the world of humanity that Nawasa-e-Rasool Hussain Ibne Ali (A.S.) does not desire his thrust, honour, wealth and rule and keeps the government at the point of his shoe and do not want to create riot or disturb Muslims in performing their affairs. He said Imam Hussain Ibne Ali (A.S.) proved through his character that Ma’arka-e-Karbala was the display of bravery, courage of Imam Aali Muqam (A.S.) which will remain a beacon of light for the oppressed and have-nots till the D-Day.
