Mazhar Ali Shah condemns New Delhi blasts, calls upon Indian govt to exercise wisdom

RAWALPINDI, October 30: Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate, Secretary General of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan while strongly condemning bomb blasts in Indian Capital New Delhi termed it an open act of terrorism.

In a statement issued here from Tehreek headquarters on Sunday, he said at present the whole world was surrounded by problems and difficulties while motherland Pakistan was in the grip of earthquakes and attention of the whole world is set on helping out the quake victims. He said like other States, India has not only offered help for the quake victims but now both the countries have agreed to open the Line of Control to make the relief activities easier. In such a situation, bomb blasts in Delhi are a heinous conspiracy and we strongly condemn it. He called upon Indian government to exercise wisdom in this critical situation.

He said Islam preaches justice and fair-play and declares terrorism a great oppression. As per saying of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, a terrorist does not keep a religion, faith or a country, he is only a terrorist and should be seen and tackled in that context only. He expressed sympathy with the bereaved families of all those who lost their life in the terrorism incident in New Delhi.

Mazhar Ali Shah said the people of Pakistan are thankful to all States, without discrimination, who are helping the quake victims. All countrymen came united in this difficult hour and the way they practically displayed the spirit of sacrifice has proved that we share our grieves and happiness and any difficult moment and hour of test could be tackled with firmness, courage and forbearance by joining hands.

Tammar thanks all schools of thought for participation in Juma-tul-Wida rallies, terms curbs on Ramazan 21 procession in Gilgit tantamount to encroaching upon basic rights

RAWALPINDI, October 29: An important meeting presided over by Meesam Tammar, Convener of Youm-ul-Quds Himayat-e-Mazloomin (Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed) Committee of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan was held at Central Office on Saturday in which all schools of thought were thanked for their participation in demonstrations, protest rallies and meetings organised on Juma-tul-Wida.

Addressing the meeting, Meesam Tammar said, Ulema Karaam and Khutaba, by highlighting the importance of Al-Quds Ash-Sharif in their spiritual and pious gatherings, by condemning continued colonial oppression and brutality the world over including Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan and Iraq, and by expressing complete solidarity with the oppressed made it clear that we share our grieves and happiness and no geographical boundaries could create any hurdle amongst us.

Meesam Tammar said, the superior most mosques include Masjid Bait-ul-Haram, Masjid-e-Nabawi, Masjid-e-Kufa and Masjid-e-Aqsa that are mentioned in the Surah Isra of Quran. The Muslim Ummah is vulnerable today and Muslims have to go through bad days owing to wrong attitude, weak policies and submissive attitude of the Muslim rulers against colonial powers.

He said whereas we accuse international colonial powers but at the same time our rulers are also responsible for this decay who are playing the role of a silent spectator on the desecration of Masjid Al-Aqsa. The unity, brotherhood and mutual understanding practically displayed on the occasion of Youm-ul-Quds Himayat-e-Mazloomin (Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed) is laudable and this tradition would be kept live in future also.

He said Pakistan was created in the name of Islam through the joint sacrifices of all schools of thought, therefore, no harm will allowed to be caused to it.

He expressed his concern that motherland Pakistan was confronted with terrorism and unrest for quite long and in Gilgit restriction on the procession of Shahadat-e-Hazrat Ali (A.S.) on Ramazan 21 and Juma-tul-Wida congregations was imposed for the first time that is tantamount to encroaching upon the fundamental rights. He said President Pervez Musharraf who is a learned person should take immediate notice of this situation and set up a high level Tribunal to probe the pros and cons behind these acts of anarchy and differences in the most sensitive areas of the country.

He said as per saying of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi neither there is any Sunni-Shia conflict in Pakistan nor it would be allowed to happen. Confrontation of some terrorist groups could not be declared as sectarian conflict. The government should tighten noose around banned groups who are responsible for shattering peace in Northern Areas, locked mosques and Imambargahs should be opened without any discrimination and innocent ulema and citizens should be released forthwith.

Moreover, those unseen powers should be identified that are bent upon promoting murder and riot in the sensitive areas while action should also be taken against those powers that were involved in disgruntled anti-Pakistan activities in the earthquake affected areas. He appealed the countrymen to pray for rehabilitation of the earthquake victims, early recovery of the injured and for survival of the earthly and otherwise catastrophes during the outgoing Ashra of the Ramazan-ul-Mubarik.

He said Muslims are Millat-e-Wahida and we would have to confront the atheists by becoming united. That way we would not only succeed in achieving Bait-ul-Moqaddas but it would also resolve all problems faced by them.

Central President of Mukhtar Students Organisation Syed Baqir Naqvi said that these days Muslims are only Muslims by name, had they been the men of deed then we would not have to face humiliation here and there today. Forming a Muslim United Forum was need of the hour to root out atheism.

Syed Naseer Hussain Sabzwari, Central Secretary Information M.O., said the real cause of problems faced by the Islamic World are Muslim rulers themselves who have become tools in the hands of colonial powers. He said Muslims would have to come out of their shackle and carry out a joint practical struggle after forming United International Islamic Forum to achieve Al-Quds Ash-Sharif and Kashmir. He said at present the whole world is confronted with accidents, incidents and earthquakes, and to get rid of it there is need to seek forgiveness from Allah.

A resolution adopted on the occasion strongly demanded solution of long-standing issues of Kashmir and Palestine in the light of the United Nations Resolutions keeping to the desire of their respective people. The resolution called upon the OIC to come out from deep slumber instead of expressing its concern on the condition of Muslim Ummah and adopt a concrete and courageous strategy for solution of problems faced by the Islamic World. Later, the demonstrators dispersed peacefully. A heavy contingent of District administration and police accompanied the procession.

In Federal Capital Islamabad, a strong protest rally was held on Youm-ul-Quds Himayat-e-Mazloomin (Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed) at Aabpara Chowk under the auspices of Youm-ul-Quds Himayat-e-Mazloomin Committee. He said the international organisations i.e. United Nations and the OIC are responsible for the problems and issues faced by the oppressed.

He said the United Nations never resolved any issue faced by the world of humanity and similarly the OIC has not yet resolved any issues confronted by the Islamic World damaging the reputation of both, and now they will have to take independent decisions to revive their reputation and to get rid of American slavery.

He called upon the Muslim Ummah to launch a joint practical struggle from the united platform for solution of the collective issues, particularly independence of Al-Quds Ash-Sharif, achievement of Kashmir, and an end to oppression of colonial powers against oppressed Kashmiri, Palestinian, Iraqi and Afghan people. He demanded from the government to ensure effective implementation of the Anti-Terrorism Act so as to root out terrorism and take notice of those banned groups that were working with new names.

Convener of the Central Youm-ul-Quds Himayat-e-Mazloomin (Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed) Committee of TNFJ Meesam Tammar in his address said that whether it is Middle East or South Asia or any other part of the world, the world could not be turned into a hub of peace unless the problems of the oppressed nations and the Islamic World are not resolved in line with the United Nations Resolutions keeping to the desire of the respective people.

Expressing complete solidarity with the oppressed the world over, he strongly condemned Israeli occupation of Al-Quds Ash-Sharif and called upon the United Nations to resolve the long-standing issues of Kashmir and Palestine by implementing its Resolutions keeping to the desire of their people otherwise, he added, the dream of restoring durable peace in world including the Middle East and South Asia would not come true.
