Some forces are trying to suppress the Zikr of Imam Hussain (AS), Allama Muqaddesi urges authorities to take notice on Arbaeen

Rawalpindi, August 26—Throughout Pakistan, on Monday, 20th Safar, the Chehlum (Arbaeen) of Imam Hussain (AS) and his 72 loyal companions, who made the ultimate sacrifice for the survival of Islam, the protection of religion and Sharia, and the sanctity of humanity, was observed with religious respect, and devotion. Mourning processions were held, and Arbaeen Majalis were organized in all cities, towns, and villages, where followers of Hussainiyat, regardless of sect, participated to pay tribute to the blood-stained sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). A remarkable display of Shia-Sunni unity was witnessed on this occasion. The central Chehlum processions in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad were traditionally taken out from Imambargah Ashiq Hussain, Teeli Mohalla, Imambargah Hifazat Ali Shah, and Imambargah Colonel Maqbool Hussain, with thousands of mourners participating. The processions were led by the head of Tehreek-e-Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Allama Agha Syed Hussain Muqaddasi.

While addressing media representatives and mourners during the Chehlum procession, Allama Agha Syed Hussain Muqaddasi, the head of Tehreek-e-Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, stated that Pakistan is besieged by internal and external threats, and therefore the path of Hussainiyat must be adopelted to thwart conspiracies. The foundations of Pakistan are built on the spirit of Hussainiyat, but some forces are trying to suppress the Zikr of Imam Hussain (AS). He urged the President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice, and Army Chief to take notice of the situation.

we will never compromise on our constitutional and religious rights, Allama Hussain Muqaddesi

The attacks on the Pakistan Army and police in Musa Khel, Kalat, Lasbela, and Rahim Yar Khan have links to the eternal enemy, India. To save the country, foreign funding of religious and political parties must be stopped. The Karachi conflict and the Musa Khel massacre are aimed at spreading sectarianism and provincial prejudice. There is no Shia-Sunni conflict or provincial prejudice in Pakistan; the rulers must ensure the provision of rights to all sects and provinces. Internal stability is crucial to defeating external enemies.

Allama Hussain Muqaddasi condemned Punjab Home Department’s SOPs to restrict Azadari as unconstitutional, stating that the restrictions on mourning ceremonies are unacceptable. He advised the administration to correct its priorities. If the police remain occupied in stopping mourning ceremonies, who will tackle robbers and terrorists? In its multiple verdicts, the Lahore High Court has already declared the Home Department’s SOPs as unconstitutional. Agha Hussain Muqaddasi urged the Prime Minister not to take on the crimes of previous governments. History teaches us that governments that collide with Hussainiyat cease to exist. If the government does not lift unjust restrictions from Azadari and associated mourning ceremonies, we will be forced to announce a course of action after the days of Aza on 8th Rabi’ al-Awwal. We are followers of Agha Hamid Moosavi and will make every sacrifice for the security, defense, and peace of Pakistan, however; we will never compromise on our constitutional and religious rights.

The head of Tehreek-e-Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya welcomed the Supreme Court’s clarification on the Khatm-e-Nubuwwat decision. He emphasized that attempts are being made to isolate the Shia school of thought. If new settlements are being built, why can’t new programs for Azadari e Hussain (A.S) be held? If banned organizations are set free to operate then situations like the one in Karachi will keep arising. Peace cannot be established by begging for peace from banned groups; rather it will further increase the threats to peace. The destroyed Gaza is lamenting global hypocrisy. Muslim world must adopt a joint strategy to address the issues of Palestine and Kashmir.

Allama Hussain Muqaddasi paid tribute to the security forces who performed duties during the Arbaeen processions and appreciated the unity among all schools of thought on this occasion. He declared the martyrs of bus accidents in Iran and Lasbela as Fidya-e-Hussaini, and announced to hold their mourning ceremonies after 8th Rabi al-Awwal.

The procession turned into a gathering of Majlis e Aza at Fawara Chowk, where TNFJ’s Secretary Information Allama Qamar Zaidi addressed the mourners. He said that Arbaeen Hussaini is a memorial of the eternal victory of the captives of Karbala. The mourning of Syed al-Shuhada Imam Hussain (AS) is the Sunnah of Hazrat Zainab bint-e-Ali (A.S) and Imam Zain ul Abidin (A.S). He said that the flag of Hussainiyat is strengthening the morale of the oppressed Kashmiris and Palestinians. Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi shed light on the priceless sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and narrated the hardships faced by the women of the Prophet’s family after their release from captivity and their return to Karbala and Medina. After this, at Fawara Chowk, Zanjeer Zani and matamdari was performed.

On this occasion, TNFJ District Muharram Committee’s convener Muhammad Abbas Kazmi presented the Arbaeen resolution covering significant global and national issues, which was unanimously passed by thousands of mourners. The resolution expressed solidarity with the oppressed and condemned the terrorist incidents in the beloved homeland Pakistan. Renowned scholar Chaudhry Abu Baidar Ali and Aitezaz Haider Naqvi also addressed the Majlis e Aza. The Zuljanah processions, which started from Imambargah Shaheedan-e-Karbala, Tyre Bazaar, and Mohalla Darbar Sakhi Shah Chan Chiragh, also joined the central Chehlum procession. The central procession concluded at Qadeemi Imambargah. Religious scholars and senior officials of TNFJ accompanied the procession until the end. Mukhtar Students Organization and Mukhtar Generation set up a central mourning camp at Fawara Chowk. The Ibrahim Scouts led the procession throughout the route, and a medical camp was set up at Habib Bank Chowk to provide first aid to the mourners. For the convenience of the mourners, Mukhtar Organization set up a Azadari camp on Jamia Masjid Road. Scholars, volunteers of Mukhtar Force, leaders of TNFJ’s Jafaria Action Committee, and Muharram Committee Azadari Cell, along with the officials of local administration and heavy contingents of police, accompanied the procession throughout its route. Meanwhile, according to reports received at the headquarters Maktab e Tashayyo; mourning processions for Arbaeen e Hussaini i.e. Chehlum of the Martyrs of Karbala were taken out from all small and big cities and towns across the country, including Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Bagh, Muzaffarabad, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sukkur, Khairpur, Hyderabad, Dera Ismail Khan, Jhang, Sargodha, Layyah, Khushab, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat, Dera Murad Jamali, and Jacobabad.
