A most prominent intellectual, well-known author and a sunni Muslim. Mr. Latif pareshaan has written a letter to Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Respectable Jenab Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi sahib Assalam-o-Alaikum wa Rahmatullah It is amazing for you that who is he, sending this letter. Sir, me a handicapped retired army man. I write in pashto and urdu languages. Now a days my eye sight is very weak because of cataract captain (in army) Mr. Shakir sahib writes about me in his prize holding book “urdu Adab aur askar-e-Pakistan” (urdu literature and Pakistan army)vol 1 page no-288 and I am sending you the same page. Jenab Syed Sahib, I have had close relations with brothers belonging to Fiqh-e-Jafariya in army and till today we are used to go to each others homes with in a year, six months or whenever we find an opportunity even though we are at a distance. I have read many books of your fiqh and the urdu translation of Najul Balagha is being placed on the head of my bed. I feel much problem is writing and reading because of my weak eye sight .The eye specialist tells the expenditures of operation “10 thousand Rs” but I don’t have anything. Any how I have belief on omnipotent that He had given me the sight and now if He wants to take it back or give it back to me through treatment, It is His will. We are ‘majboor-e-mehez” A little before I went to a nearby shop to buy 12 kg pulse for dinner. That shop-keeper reads daily ‘Nawa-e-Waqt and is in habbit of using TV and Nawa-e-Waqt in his shop just to bring young generation round him and to sell his worth less things. I unintentionally picked up that page of Nawa-e-waqt in which your much valuable and precious, mean religiously and spiritually worthy ‘ad’ was being published as Youm-ul-Huzn’. I being fed up of vagabond youths’ noise brought the paper out .It was not a sunny day, raining had just been stopped and the sky was cloudy. I read it agains and again because of my weak eye sight Then a master sahib (teacher) came and I asked him to read this’ad’out to me in a high voice. He read it out but this did not effect and touch his heart and mind. Syed sahib ! I am a sunni muslim but I love Hazrat Abu Talib (R.A) very much since my childhood for the reasons you have caused them published in the said ‘ad’ with great discernment and perspicacity. In 1996, on a Friday at Karak where all living are sunni people , I objected publicly in the presence of every body a renown scholar Hazrat Muhammad Nawab, master in Arabic and Islamic studies, was my honourable teacher and now a retired principal, during his speech being delivered in connection with Rabi-ul-Awwal that the fire of hell is Haraam on Hazrat Abu Talib (R.A) and he, feeling the anger of the crowd said to me with love “you said aright. many ulema are of the same opinion. Meet me for your satisfaction after prayer before going”. Any how he could not satisfied me. Sunni ulema they themselves say that the infidel residents of the house with the wall of which Holy prophet ( PBUH) propped, have been pardoned just because Holy Prophet (PBUH) propped with its wall. But Hazrat Abu Talib (R.A) that exalted status. Sunni ulema write themselves that dignitaries from among makkah’s infidels came to Hazrat Abu Talib (R.A) and complained against Holy prophet (PBUH) that he (prophet) disgraces our Gods. So, leave protecting and guarding him. Abu Talib (R.A) said ok. Holy prophet (PBUH) came to home and then Hzrat Abu Talib (R.A) advised him with great love ( at that time wahi (revelation) was not revealed to him mean stage of prophethood was not commenced ). Tears started flowing from the eyes of Holy prophet (PBUH) and he said: ” Uncle! Only you were my consoler and comforter . Your have with held from this. I am going from your house for ever but I’ll remained giving the message of Haq till the last moment.” At that Hazrat Abu Talib (R.A) stopped him from going, embraced him lovingly and said while weeping: “continue Dawat-e-Haq . Infidels cannot frowned your until me (Abu Talib ) is alive .” Your published ‘ad’ proved to be a beacon of light .may Allah reward you for this (Ameen).I was used to try to reach the depth and soul of those speeches delivered on TV by Ulema-e-Karam belonging to Fiqha-e- Jafariya and gained guidance from those. I am talking about the past (now I cannot see.) I did not understand that who for the achievement of mere personal interest has created a yawning gulf (differences) between those who believes in Fiqha-e-Jafariay and sunnis and are busy in thriving and fanning it day by day. Can those who don’t believe in Hussain (A.S) and Hassan (A.S) be Muslims? Shah sahib answer please for God sake. An other thing, even though eyes cannot cooperate with me, they are ‘Amedis’. If you would guide me about them I will pray for you in each namaz. If I be of any assistance to you please write to me but please for God sake reply me of my this letter so that I would advise at least the young generation that you (our sunni youth) are being ruined gradually in the grim darkness just due to their forefathers’ wrong behaviour. We ourselves are taking the fuel for hell with us. But these are the mischieves of those sunni ulema-e- soo who are being appointed as teachers holding the fake degrees of any madressa. And in this manner these mullas who eat haraam, sow the seeds of harted . I am feeling severe inflammation in eyes so I would leave now waiting for your positive constructive and best reply. With great devotion and respect pray my regards to all ahbaab.( friends).
