ISLAMABAD, February 07: Majlis-e-Aza in connection with Shahadat of Nawasa-e-Rasool Mazloom-e-Karbala Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) will be held at Masjid and Imambargah Jamia-tul-Murtaza G-9/4 Peshawar Morr Islamabad on 8th Muharram, Tuesday, 7th February at 11.00 a.m. under the auspices of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. In addition to other zakireen, Allama Shaikh Ijaz Hussain Madras will address the Majlis. Zuljinah, Alam Ghazi Abbas Alamdar (A.S.), Gehwara-e-Ali Asghar (A.S.), Mehndi Shahzada Qasim (A.S.) will be brought out at 2.00 p.m. sharp after the conclusion of the Majlis. Khateeb Fateh-e-Farat would address the Azadaran-e-Hussain during the procession at Muhammadi Chowk near Karachi Company on the topic of Philosophy of Shahadat. Matmi Halqas from Islamabad and surrounding areas would participate in Matamdari and Noha-Khwani during the Azadari procession which would terminate at Jamia Imam Sadiq Karachi Company after passing through its designated route.
RAWALPINDI, February 06: Ashra-e-Muharram Majalis continued for the 7th day on Monday in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and surrounding areas to pay homage to the Shuhada-e-Karbala for supremacy of Islam, survival and solidarity of Shariat-e-Muhammadi. Mehndi Shahzada-e-Qasim (A.S.) processions were taken out from different places.
In Rawalpindi, the main Mehndi procession was taken out from Naya Mohallah. Thousands of mourners participated in Noha Khwani, Matamdari and Zanjeer Zani to pay pursa. Khateeb Fateh-e-Farat Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi addressing the Majlis-e-Shahadat at Hussaini Manzil Dhoke Syedan said that Hazrat Qasim reminded of the bravery of Baba Hassan (A.S.) by confronting the Yazidi forces in Karbala. He said he was a minor Shaheed whose body was trampled in his life and the Mazloom-e-Karbala (A.S.) brought the pieces of his body instead of the body to the tents. He said the commitment of Nausha-e-Karbala (A.S.) is the beacon of light for the youth the world over even today. He said Azadari is the universal announcement of hatred against oppression and support for the oppressed in which all Muslims participate without any discrimination rather non-Muslims also observe Gham-e-Hussain by paying homage to the Hussain ibne Ali (A.S.) who was the source of survival for humanity. He said Islam is the ideological Asaas of Pakistan that is commensurate with Zarb-e-Haideri and Sajdah-e-Shabbiri. Maulana Malik Ijlal Haider Al-Haideri also addressed the Majlis. Allama Shaikh Ijaz Hussain Madras addressing the Majlis-e-Aza at Qasr-e-Abu Talib Mughalabad said, it was obligatory to promote Wilayat-e-Ali and Hussainiyyat to convert Pakistan into a hub of Islam as it was the only way to root out the Yazidi conspiracies and hatred at national and international level. He said the spirit of minors and elderly Shuhada of Karbala is the best example for the freedom loving in every era. A resolution presented by Syed Naseer Hussain Sabzwari at the Majlis strongly condemned the policy of electronic and print media for not using the words Wa Alehee with the Holy Prophet (SAW), and Aleh-hiss-Salam with Ahle Bait Athaar and said Pakistan is the fruit of joint efforts of all schools of thought Islam being its official religion, it is not a sectarian State, we do not want to impose our beliefs on others but we would not also bear encroachment upon our right also, come what may. The resolution expressed hatred against all those speakers and waizeen who become representatives of the Maktab but become a part of heinous conspiracies. Another resolution strongly condemned the European newspapers for publishing blasphemous cartoons. Different ulema and zakireen addressed Ashra-e-Muharram Majalis at Aza Khana Ali Sarkar Naqvi, Imambargah Nasir Al-Aza, Darbar Shah Chan Chiragh, Qadeemi Imambargah, Qasr-e-Imam Musa Kazim I-10, Markazi Imambargah Islamabad, Imambargah Qadeemi Tarlai Kalan. In Dhoke Ratta, Mehndi procession was taken out from the residence of Malik Pervez Hussain that terminated at Imambargah Kashmirian after marching through its designated route.
RAWALPINDI, February 05: Majalis Ashra-e-Muharram continued throughout Pakistan like other global parts on the 6th day in memory of Mohsin-e-Insaniyyat Shaheed-e-Azam Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his near and dear ones. Ulema and zakireen addressing the Majalis-e-Aza highlighted the great deeds of Shuhada-e-Karbala. In the ladies Majalis, resolve to follow in the footsteps of Mukhadderaat-e-Ismat and Taharat was expressed. Allama Shaikh Ijaz Hussain addressing the 6th Majlis of Ashra-e-Muharram at Markazi Imambargah Qasr-e-Abu Talib (A.S.) said that Hussain ibne Ali (A.S.) saved the humanity and the losing values of Shariat with his blood. Allama Saqlain Haider Kazmi and Maulana Tabassum Abbas Kazmi addressing the Majlis at Ali Masjid said the religion of Islam preaches the method of respecting all and sundry and is the preacher of peace and tranquillity as it has never committed aggression rather always adopted the defensive strategy and raised voice against oppression and brutality even on the point of spear, that is why Azadari is still going on and has become a peaceful protest of conscious people against oppression and brutality. They said whenever Yazidiyyat surfaced; it was Hussainiyyat that downed it. Everyone who respects humanity not only condemns the blasphemy committed in Denmark, Norway, Spain, Germany, France, New Zealand and Jordan rather they have become a symbol of protest because they were preached to do so by Karbala. They said as per a saying of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Hamid Moosavi our protest would continue till the time justice and fair-play is restored and oppression and brutality pushed away. They said we are supporters of the oppressed and enemy of the oppressor and Azadari is the biggest universal protest against oppression. Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, addressing a Majlis-e-Aza at Imambargah Qasr-e-Sakina Dhok Hassu said, Pakistan came into being in the name of Islam, therefore, Hussainiyyat is defender of Pakistan and its people the promotion and protection of which is our duty in faith. A ladies Majlis was organised under the auspices of Anjuman Dukhtran-e-Islam (Regd) at Jamia-tul-Murtaza G-9/4. Zakira Rakhshanda Wajih addressed while Syeda Azmat Zaidi performed Marsia Khwani. Shabih-e-Taboot Shahzada Ali Akbar (A.S.) was taken out followed by Matamdari after the Majlis. Allama Basharat Hussain Imami addressing a Majlis at Markazi Masjid and Imambargah Hazrat Khadijatul Kubra (A.S.) Tarlai Kalan said, Azadari-e-Hussain guarantees survival of Islam, welfare of humanity, defeat of Taghoot for which we would have to keep ourselves intact with Daman-e-Hussainiyyat. A resolution adopted on the occasion demanded from the government to set up Muharram Cells at Federal and provincial levels forthwith and may be asked to remain in constant touch with the TNFJ Markazi Muharram Committee. The resolution made it clear that Muharram is not the name of merely 10 days rather the Azadari programmes continue till 8th Rabiul Awwal, therefore, the government should make special arrangements during these days and the Code of Azadari announced by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Moosavi should be followed in letter and spirit. The resolution strongly condemned blasphemy on the part of German, Spanish, French, New Zealand and Jordanian newspapers in publishing defamatory caricatures and called upon the Muslim States to devise a courageous strategy against this heinous activity. RAWALPINDI, February 3: Ulema and speakers in countrywide Friday congregations and azadari majalis severely protested on reprinting of insulting cartoons of holy Prophet (SAW) in German, Spanish, Swiss and French publications after Danish newspaper, and also resolutions condemning the offensive move were passed by hundreds of thousands of Azadaran-i-Mazloom-i-Karbala on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. Addressing similar gatherings in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the speakers urged OIC representative body of Islamic world to lay bold joint policy against those who commit blasphemy of Holy Prophet (SAW). Allama Qamar ZAidi in his address to fourth Muharram Majlis at Ali Mosque termed publishing of offensive caricatures as a challenge for honor of Muslim Ummah which is a pre-planned heinous conspiracy of satanic forces. Allama Syed Saqlain Haider Kazmi Fazil-e-Syria and Iran said in his address that Imam Ali Maqam (A.S.) saved high human values by presenting sacrifice in dasht-e-Karbala, that is why follower of every religion and faith today respects Hussain ibn-e-Ali (A.S.). Maulana Tabassum Kazmi and many others also addressed. Similar majalis-e-aza were also held in Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabd, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Kohat, Chakwal, Jehlum, Kherpur Meeras, Nawabshah, Sakkhar, Haiderabad, D.G.Khan, Mianwali, D.I.Khan, Muzaffargarh, Dadu, Larkana, Tank, Yob, Khozdar, Gilgit, Skardu, Muzaffarabad and all other cities and town.
ISLAMABAD, February 2: Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate, Secretary General of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan visited the District Control Room Muharram Committee Azadari Cell set up in Federal Capital Islamabad where Allama Basharat Hussain Imami, Incharge Control Room, apprised him of the schedule of Majalis-e-Aza and Matmi processions throughout the district. He said a survey of all Imambargahs and Aza Khanas in Federal Capital and Federal Areas was completed at the head of Secretary District Muharram Committee Zulfiqar Ali Raja, the other day and the Azadaran have unanimously assured to strictly follow the Code of Azadari announced by the Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. He said complaints from different religious institutions and public circles are reaching the District Control Room of the Tehreek that the electronic media, particularly Pakistan Television has reduced the duration of Manqabat, Salam, Noha, Marsia Khwani, Majalis and debates on the topic of Shahadat-e-Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) as compared to previous traditions that seems to be the work of black sheep that have infiltrated into the TV Administration. Moreover, musical and comedy programmes, drama and Munkiraat are still continuing on the electronic media contrary to giving respect to the Ashra-e-Muharram despite the fact that from the era of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to the Zias martial law, music and other such programmes used to be discontinued from 1st Muharram and programmes highlighting the Shahadat-e-Hussaini were presented throughout the Ashra-e-Muharram. He demanded from the government to take strict notice of this situation and issue immediate orders to correct this situation. Addressing the office-bearers of TNFJ District Islamabad Muharram Committee Azadari Cell, Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate said that the Code of Azadari announced by the Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Moosavi guarantees law and order, brotherhood and mutual understanding in the country and all Azadaran and organisers of Majalis should present Pursa to the Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) by following the same. He called upon the government to issue instructions to the Administration from high to low level to follow the said Code of Azadari. He advised the government not to delay setting up of Muharram Azadari Cells at Federal and provincial level further and any active consideration of the same should be disseminated through the media and these Cells should be directed to keep a close contact with the TNFJ Central Muharram Committee Control Room so that the possible problems of the Azadaran could be resolved amicably. He reiterated his resolve to continue practical struggle for the welfare of the religion, motherland and the people keeping to the previous traditions.
RAWALPINDI, February 1: An important meeting of Central Muharram Committee Azadari Cell of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan was held under the presidentship of Central Convener Syed Shujaat Ali Bokhari in which arrangements for Muharramul Haram were reviewed in detail. Bu Ali Mahdi, Central Joint Secretary of the Committee, presenting his report in the meeting said that Control Rooms have been set up in the Federal Capital Islamabad, and all the four provinces including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas to facilitate Azadaran keeping in view the interest of the nation and the country and dignity and respect of the Ayyam-e-Aza. The Control Rooms would remain operative till 8th Rabiul Awwal. Control Room of the TNFJ Central Muharram Committee (Azadari Cell) would work round-the-clock. He said Azadaran could contact for solution of any possible problem on phones (051) 4410180-4840625. Bokhari in his address on the occasion said the Karbala is that great battlefield of righteousness and evil where Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) by offering great sacrifice along with his sincere near and dear ones preached the lesson to conscientious people how to live and die in honour that is why, he added, every nation pays homage to Hussain ibne Ali (A.S.) in their own style. He said Gham-e-Hussain is supreme than any other grief, therefore, Azadaran should give priority to Azadari over all other matter as per directive of the Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi and follow the Code of Azadari announced by him in letter and spirit, highlight the invaluable sacrifice rendered by Farzand-e-Rasool (A.S.), display practical unity and brotherhood so as to declare upon the world that we all schools of thought are united and are a concrete wall against our combined enemy. He made it clear that we keep Azadari-e-Mazloom-e-Karbala dearer than every thing and no hurdle in its way would be accepted come what may. Syed Shujaat Bokhari strongly demanded from the government not to delay formation of Azadari Cell at Federal Interior Ministry, Ministry of Religious Affairs, in all the four provinces including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas and also on district level. These Cells, he added, should keep a close contact with the TNFJ Muharram Committee Azadari Cell and should be advertised through media so that Azadari programmes could be held with respect, honour and in peace. He strongly demanded closure of dancing and musical programmes, dramas and comedy programmes on the electronic media during the Ashra-e-Muharram and called upon all government and non-government organisations including the Government to avoid Munkiraat and ensure the dignity of Muharramul Haram. He demanded from the government to issue instructions to Administration from high to low level to enforce the Code of Azadari announced by the Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Moosavi.
RAWALPINDI, January 31: Series of Majalis of Ashra-e-Muharram began on Tuesday Muharram 1 at Imambargahs and Azakhanas of twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi like other cities of Pakistan to pay rich homage to unparalleled and eternal sacrifices of Nawasa-e-Rasool (SAW), Jigar-gosha-e-Ali-o-Batool (A.S.) Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his 72 near and dear ones. During the majalis-e-aza, Azadaran-e-Imam ali Maqam (A.S.) resolved to fully follow Code of Azadari announced by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Hamid Moosavi to hold all azadari programs from Muharram 1 to Rabiul Awwal 8 and to practically display mutual brotherhood. Addressing first majlis of Ashra-e-Muharram at Ali Mosque, Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi said the great battle of Karbala was fought between right and wrong, and in this battle protector and defender of right – Hussain ibn-e-Ali (A.S.) – gave undying life to Islam by kissing martyrdom along with his Ahl-e-Bait (A.S.) and faithful companions. The son of Fatimah (A.S.) watered the tree of Islam with his own blood and taught that lesson of honour, nobility, dignity, patience and resolve to conscious human beings which could bow down the heads of big-to-big oppressors. Allama Sheikh Ijaz Hussin Modarris addressed first Muhrram Majlis at imambargah Qasr-e-Abu Talib (A.S.), Allama Basharat Imami at Qasr-e-Khadijatul Kubra (A.S.) RAWALPINDI, Pakistan – January 30: The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said Azadari is our fundamental right regarding it neither our forefathers bargained, nor would we and our generations. We will never let anyone to create hurdle in it. Azadaran should perform azadari with complete peace and courage.
Addressing a packed press conference held at TNFJ headquarters here on Monday, he announced 14-point Code of Azadari on the occasion of oncoming Muharramul Haram so that it could be followed in letter and spirit to promote religion and motherland in winning the pleasure of Allah, Rasool (SAW), Aaimma Huda (A.S.) and pious Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.). TNFJ central secretary information Syed Qamar Zaidi, Convener Central Muharram Committee Azadari Cell Syed Shujaat Ali Bokhari, different ulema-e-karam and senior office-bearers were also present at the press conference. In response to a question, Hamid Moosavi said there is no ban on Azadari including loud speaker, however its sound use should be made sure.
Answering another question, he said Central Muharram Azadari Committee of TNFJ has been formed to facilitate Azadran; its control room will work round the clock from today. Also, committees have been set up in provinces and districts. He, while responding to a newsman, condemned American attack on Bajor Agency and termed it an assault on Pakistans sovereignty. The government should take strict measures in this regard so that no one could dare to do so in future. In response to a question regarding government steps against terrorism, the TNFJ chief said the TNFJ presented Peace Formula to the government in a meeting summoned by former interior minister Moinuddin Haider. Later, Moosavi Peace Formula was presented in Supreme Court of Pakistan, and taking it in view Preesident Pervez Musharraf not only declared Anti-Terrorism Act with courage rather took a good step of banning extremist terrorist groups. But regretfully, the same banned outfits are once again busy with new disguises. They are on government and opposition forums, and media also gives them full coverage. He said Muharram-ul-Haram teaches us lesson that whenever sacrifice is demanded, people are under obligation to establish spirit of martyr in their hearts. Weeping and mourning for Imam Hussain (A.S.) means participation in his bravery and boldness, harmony with HUssaini thought and sight, and conformity with desire of martyrdom. Its only objective is that oppression could never raise head once again so that whole society could be stopped from walking in footsteps of these oppressors. He said it is Azadari courtesy to which no human being likes to take name of Yazid or doing Yazidi deeds. In short, Hussain (A.S.) keeps place in every heart, everyone is AZadar, mourner of Hussain (A.S.) and every eye sheds tears for Hussain (A.S.); it is not bound to country, faith or religion.
Agha Moosavi said sacrifice of life is greatest to achieve objective. Word Qurbani (sacrifice) is derived from Qurb; whenever doing of any good deed is decided we say Qurbatan Ilallah. Every job has particular effects, fruits and blessings and has its own philosophy that becomes the source of becoming near to Allah but the sacrifice of life the greatest of them all. The beginning and the end of Islam is based on sacrifice. The first sacrifice is that of Hazrat Habeel, then comes the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S.) who receives the commandment to slaughter his son that is mentioned in Surah Al-Sifaat of Quran that indicates that there is no deed more pious than sacrifice which is the mirage of all sacrificial deeds. Today, the world asks what is the philosophy of Muharram and Azadari? It actually is to keep the spirit of sacrifice alive. People say that the blood shed in Gham-e-Hussain could be given to needy patients and the expenditure incurred on Azadari could be given to the poor to better their lot. They should know that like Hajj is worship and has a philosophy; similary, Azadari is also a great worship. Sacrificing worships to such spirits and thinking is slavery to our own ideology and nothing else. The subservience to Allah demands that His every commandment is fulfilled come what may whether the wisdom supports it or not, because your wisdom could not cover it. He said everyone, whether he belongs to any country, Maslak, nation or Maktab, participates in Gham-e-Hussain. That is why Hussain (A.S.) is not only Shaheed-e-Islam but also Shaheed-e-Insaniyyat. The honour and dignity of Muharramul Haram is crystal clear from its name but unfortunately international colonial powers, Satanic and Zionist powers, and so-called champions of human rights who are actually biggest enemy of humanity, get busy in conspiracies before sighting the moon of Muharramul Haram. Their dual standard has been unearthed in Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan, and Iraq and it is the result of spirit of sacrifice and it is the mirage of worship that is commensurate with Hussainiyyat and Muharramul Haram is commensurate with the great personality of Hussain ibne Ali (A.S.). These powers are afraid of it, therefore, international chief of the terrorists and her agents use the weapon of biases to maintain their supremacy, reap self-interest and to cool down the spirit of sacrifice so as to defame the Islamic World by blaming Muslims of being violent, and to promote anarchy and differences amongst the Islamic World. Pakistan being the only State on earth with basic ideology of Islam and today is an atomic power, by the Grace of God which is not bearable for our perpetual and combined enemy in any case. Pakistan is their biggest target, one by one, therefore all patriotic forces are under the obligation to thwart this heinous conspiracy with wisdom and by practically displaying unity, brotherhood without any discrimination on the basis of Maslak and Maktab, make it clear that no enemy howsoever big could create differences amongst us. We all are followers of Hussain (A.S.), and Hussain (A.S.) belongs to all, Hussain (A.S.) belongs to Allah. We all are Hussaini and would pay homage to the Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) by observing the Gham-e-Hussain. The Code of Azadari is as given below: CODE OF AZADARI 2006 The government should follow the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement in connection with bringing out Azadari processions. Muharram Azadari Cells should be set up at the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Religious Affairs, and at Central, Provincial and District level and these should be publicised through media so that possible problems of the Azadars are resolved. These Cells should keep a close contact with the Muharram Committee of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan. Effective and concrete protective measures should be taken before hand to provide protection to Majalis-e-Aza and Azadari processions at sensitive places. If any problem is faced at any place, then the procession should not be stopped to resolve the problem rather the procession should be allowed to reach its destination with full protection as a permanent solution. Such a law should be enforced that may not encroach upon the rights of anyone, peaceful personalities detained in jails should be set free forthwith after taking oath from them. Restrictions should not be imposed on zakireen, waizeen and organisers without any reason and if there is any doubt about anyone then guarantees could be sought from such persons. Special arrangements for light and cleanliness should be made at the places of Majalis-e-Aza and on the routes of Matmi processions all over the country and provision of electricity should be ensured, come what may. The Administration should be directed to avoid spreading fear amongst Azadars and organisers and fully cooperate with them in Azadari rites so that Azadars could perform their Azadari rites in peace. No one should be allowed to take law into his own hand. Promotion of biases may be banned. Implementation of Anti-Terrorism Act may be ensured which was enforced by President Pervez Musharraf but the banned groups have become active again with new names and are seen occupying different forums. The government should take strict notice of this situation. God forbid, if any untoward incident takes place or any issue crops up then it may be resolved through the local administration and the local Muharram Committee of the TNFJ. The Central Muharram Committee of the TNFJ may be approached if the issue remains unresolved at local level. The organisers of Majalis should make protective measures on self-help basis and remain fully alert. The countrymen should keep a strict eye on enemies of Islam and Pakistan and beware of elements preaching hatred, enmity and biases. The Government and the media in particular should avoid and discourage such elements. All schools of thought should preach their beliefs and ideologies in a positive manner, and highlight the achievements of Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) and his near and dear ones. Ulema, waizeen, and zakireen should give priority to unity of Ummah, survival and integrity of religion, motherland. Preaching in a negative manner should be considered medias enmity with religion, motherland and the nation. The media, particularly, the electronic media should highlight the great sacrifices of Martyrs of Karbala in an effective manner, and should avoid Munkiraat. All types of music, and comedy programmes should be suspended during the Ashra Muharramul Haram. Only those people should be included in Peace Committees and Inter-Religion Committee who were not included in any banned organisation in any case and certification of representatives of Maktab-e-Tashih from the TNFJ should be declared imminent. All leaders should postpone all type of political activities during the Ashra-e-Muharram and keep Azadari supreme over every thing. Women should follow the seerat and character of Mukhadderat-e-Ismat and Taharat, youngsters that of Shahzada Ali Akbar (A.S.), children that of Shahzada Ali Asghar (A.S.) and Qasim (A.S.) while elders and young that of Sahabi-e-Rasool Habib ibne Mazahir (R.A.). Discipline should be taken care of in Majalis-e-Aza and Matmi processions and any activity that may be contrary to the dignity of Azadari should be avoided. The dignity and honour of all Makatab and Masalak should be taken care of rather respect of them all is binding. The organisers of Majalis-e-Aza are fully responsible to follow the Code of Azadari and also enforce it on others.
