Karabla——a matchless, unparalleled and everlasting sacrifice for shariat and insaniyyat (humanity), and an elevated example of religious values in the continuity of glorious, illustrious, precious and virtuous services. Grandson of Rasool-us-Saqalyn, Hazart Imam Hussain (AS) along with His near and dear ones has presented such a bright example of martyrdom, which will remain providing exalted values to human hearts and selves. The
Values——–which bestow height and acme of humanity to human beings,aadmiyyat to aadmi, bashariyyat to bashar, insaniyyat to insaan, with which every Muslim and momin should be laced. Islam is commensurate with eternal movement and revolution. It is a complete code of life and a perfect ideological system and where as the 3rd verse of
Sura-e-Ma’eda:

“This day I have perfected your religion for you and completed my favour to you and I have chosen Islam to be your faith (deen)”
is gawah and shahid upon its being a complete code, there 110th verse of Sura-e-Aale Imran:

|
“You are the best nation that has ever been raised up for mankind, you enjoin justice and forbid evil and you believe in Allah.”
And 104th verse of the same sura
|

|
“Let there become of you a nation that shall call for righteousness, enjoin justice and forbid evil”.
are the evidence of its being an eternal movement. And Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) himself said about His Qayaam:

“I am not going for Qayaam in disobedience, to wage war, conflict riot, to carry out oppression but I have come out to correct the Ummah of my Grandfather—-Holy Prophet (SAWW). My topmost objective is Amar bil maroof wa Nahi anil munkar so as to follow the pious seerat of my Jadde Amjad Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) and my Baba Ali-e-Murtaza (AS)”.
Islam is a universal religion and has revived to life only after Karbala which proves that it is the universality of Karbala, which has granted Islam endurance, and eternity and it, is still in the minds, hearts and thoughts of oppressed people and guidance for all humanity lies in it. Azadari-e-Mazloom Imam Hussain (AS), which remain continue from 1st of Muharram-ul Haram to 8th of Rabi-ul Awwal, on one hand proves the universality of deen-o-shariat and on the other, according to Moosavi,is an eternal protest against the world of oppression and tyranny .A saying of Rasool-ullah
is:

“No doubt love for Imam Hussain (AS) is stored in the hearts of momeneen”.
Another Hadith goes:

” Definitely because of Hussain’s murder, there is a heat of sorrow, pain and grief in the hearts of momeneen (faithful) which would not become
cold (die).”
Azadari is the origin and fountainhead of all the movements of oppressed nations and by dint of which their struggle against oppression gets strength.
Abbas Mahmood Aqqad, an Egyptian scholar and author in his precious book “Abush-Shuhada” (father of martyrs) writes:
“Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS)’s revolution and His journey from Makkah towards Iraq is not such a move about which an opinion could be established
easily by comparing it to the ordinary incidents and events which happen daily, because revolution movement of Hussain (AS) is most unique,
unparalleld and peerless in all those historical movements which become manifest under the titles of political revolutions or religious calls up till
now
.”
Azadari-e-Mazloom-e-Karbala (AS) is our natural, moral and religious right, as to weep in the gham (mourn) of one ‘s mehboob (beloved), to sit in his
matam, and to walk with his funeral is a part of human nature, That’s the reason that the all human being not only lament and cry for their relatives
and dear ones but also never forget them.
Shah Wali ullah Muhaddis Dehlvi, in his book Hujja tul Baligha,vol 2, page 38, published in Egypt , writes that to weep and lament over the dead is
natural which can not be removed from the people ,means (they can not afford and are not able to drop it ) So it has not been made incumbent upon the
people to leave it (weeping and lamenting )out in Shariat-e-Muhammadiya. It should never be because weeping and mourning occurs due to the tenderness
of being the same species. And this tenderness is praiseworthy because a man stands in need of civilization and their love and attachment with each
other is dependent on it. It also is the demand of temperament’s safety. According to a wise, a man consist of body, self and soul. Therefore love can
be divided in to three: Jismaani, Nafsaani and Rohaani. As far as body and self are concerned, both are material and mortal.

“Every self has to taste the death.”
So both these loves would be mortal. Spirit, Soul (rooh) is eternal so eternity lies in Roohaani love, as our love with Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) is Roohaani (spiritual), so this love would remain alive till the last moment of this universe. Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), who is mehboob (beloved/ favourite)-e-Rasool (peace of Allah be upon him & his progeny), performing his Azadari is a crystal clear proof of our love with Him (AS),so no power of the world has power to bring it to an end. Azadari is our Deen, our Shariat because deen-o-shariat is under obligation to the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS). Azadari is our life, and our liberation lies in it. By performing azadari we in fact grant eternal life to deen-o-shariat .we adopt means of gham (mourn), prepare shabeeh-e-zuljinah, lift shabeeh-e-zareeh-e-Imam (AS) and shabeeh-e-alam Hazrat Abul Fazlil Abbas (AS) .in fact by doing so we protest against oppression, tyranny, barbarity and the world of yazeediyyat. Condolence is sunnat-e-Islam, sunnat-e-deen-o-shariat. It is desirable to condole for even those who die on their death beds .the persons who kiss their death while fighting for the protection of their nations and states, zinda (alive) nations never forget them and observe their days. Then Hussain Ibn-e-Ali (AS) is such a figure about whom, Hadith of Rasool Allah (peace of Allah be upon him & his progeny) goes:

“Hussain is from me and I am from Hussain. he who loves Him (AS) Allah loves him, Hussain is Sibt (grandson) from Asbaat”.
(Tirmezi sharif p: 624, Ibne Maja P: 14)
Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) is our aaqa-o-maula. His love is obligatory upon us because of Aaya-e-Mawaddat. He is shaheed-e-Aazam and the most distinguished and prominent of all martyrs. He sacrificed for ehtaraam-e-aadmiyat (respect to mankind), baqa-e-insaaniyat (survival of humanity) and tahaffuz-e-deen-o-shariat (protection of deen-o-shariat) and there could never be any other supreme and highest objective but this. Holding majalis to commemorate Imam Hussain (AS), bringing azadari procession out, observing gham (mourning), matam, zanjeer zani and quma zani in fact gives a proof that O Imam Hussain (AS)! We in obey you, we are your obedient, follower and loyal. This is the reason we utter:

Shahadat-e-Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) was against oppression and tyranny, for the safety, protection and survival of human respect, grace and nobility, to give the lesson of discipline to the nations, and to make the human society pure. For that very reason Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) is not only shaheed-e-Islam but shaheed-e-insaniyat. Josh Maleehabadi had said:
Insaan ko bedaar to ho laynay do
Her qom pukaray gi hamaray hain Hussain
“Let the man be awaken, it would be the voice of every nation that Hussain (AS) is our”
So it is obligatory on the whole humanity to not only shed its tears over the tragic martyrdom of shuhada-e-karbala but also perform the rites of gham (mourning) and tazee’at (condolence), hold majalis, and by doing so pay rich homage to them.

And this (azadari) is such a virtuous deed in which our eternal liberation lies. Those who restrain from azadari are, according to Agha Khomenie, totally unaware of the objective and aim of azadari. And so Agha Moosavi has said that to restrain from azadari is to restrain from deen-o-shariat. That’s why the Maraje Uzzaam, who have been given the status of prophets’ successors, and the leaders of the nations, consider azadari not only a source of sawab (reward), rather they tell the whole world that they can beautify and embellish their fate as well as of their nation’s by following the path of
Hussainiyyat.
