High-level meeting passes resolution: caretaker govt must take concrete steps to make elections fair and transparent; govt should release all political prisoners including lawyers’ community, lift restrictions from the media, give justice to the judges; media should revise its attitude; law & order in sensitive areas should be settled through mutual understanding

RAWALPINDI, December 17: The two-day high level meeting of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan held under the presidentship of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi ended late last night after adopting some resolutions on important national and international matters.

According to Central Spokesman of the Tehreek, Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi a resolution called upon the government and political parties to exercise sense to keep the country away of any danger. The caretaker government should take concrete and practical steps to restore law and order and make the elections fair and transparent, people should remain alert and should recognise their friends and foes, the government should release all political prisoners including lawyers’ community and lift restrictions from the media while media should also revise its attitude and give coverage to all on the basis of equality. The resolution condemned the private electronic media, particularly ‘ARY One World’, and ‘Aaj News’ for continuously ignoring the TNFJ. The resolution also demanded justice for the judges.

Another resolution strongly condemned ongoing terrorism in the country and said there is no Maktabi conflict rather all countrymen are united but the perpetual enemy of Islam and Pakistan desires to achieve her heinous designs by creating differences amongst them that can be thwarted through mutual unity.

The resolution stressed the need of tightening noose around the banned groups and tackle them with an iron hand so as to root out terrorism and effective implementation of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

Another resolution said that all those who were kidnapped from Darra Adam Khel should be set free forthwith and norms of justice and fair-play should be fulfilled to honour the rights of the local residents of the Darra while the law and order issues in the sensitive areas of Swat, Waziristan, Kurram Agency should be settled through mutual understanding.

Yet another resolution condemning the ongoing oppression and brutality the world over and termed giving the colour of religious conflict to the massacre of innocent citizens of Iraq heinous colonial conspiracy and made it clear that all Sunni, Shia and minorities of Iraq remain united. The resolution said the main responsibility to control the situation lay on the United Nations so as to ensure pullout of foreign troops from Iraq and Afghanistan forthwith and allow these States to live the life of their own.

The resolution demanded that the Palestine and Kashmir issues should be resolved in line with the United Nations Resolutions keeping to the desire of the respective people. The resolution expressed complete solidarity with the oppressed people of the world, particularly that of Kashmir, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya to high-level meeting: political powers should avoid wailing to move motherland on democracy path

RAWALPINDI, December 16: Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi while terming end of emergency and restoration of constitution ‘good omen’ has stressed upon political powers to urge successful holding of elections as well as its transparency instead of wailing in order to move the motherland on the path of democracy.

He made his remarks while delivering presidential address to a high-level meeting of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan.

Delegates from federal capital Islamabad, all the four provinces, Azad Kashmir and Northern areas participated in the meeting.

The meeting reviewed and took decisions regarding situation prevailing in the country, important national and international matters, and the upcoming month of Muharram-ul Haram besides approving policy in light of TNFJ political cell report to use right of vote in general elections to be held on Jan 8, 2008.

The same will be declared through a news conference.

In his address, Agha Moosavi said official results of the elections, to be held just before beginning of Muharram, must be announced immediately; any delay therein will be considered interference in Muharram; similarly winning and losing parties and candidates should take the honour and dignity of Muharram in consideration, he added.

He directed TNFJ Political Cell to get clear stance of political parties and candidates, who contacted to achieve support, regarding TNFJ’s Charter of Demand forthwith.

Analyzing the ongoing situation in the country, the TNFJ chief said had all departments worked keeping them in constitutional limits then there would have been no state of emergency. All tried to bring each other low owing to this the country had to face political crisis. He advised that constitutional amendments like issues should be left for the coming parliament.

Giving review on the current constitutional amendments, he said there is nothing new; same has been done in different periods and everyone had accepted it for interests of all were linked with it. Therefore no one had demanded Zia-ul Haq to take-off uniform rather accepted ministries by becoming a part of Matial-lawi Shura.

He said had personal interests were not kept dearer then neither there would have been judiciary problems, bans on media nor the country would have been organize chaleeswan of emergency.

He stressed that holding of elections is indispensable in every condition; otherwise onus of any kind of situation will be on the shoulders of politicians. He said a specific stratum is set over government and opposition which has external blessing, that is why thieves are being presented as sharif (nobles). They have been enjoying rule since long and people are becoming poor to poorer.

Expressing concern on dearness, he said as a bag of flour is being sold for 2,500 RS in Parachinar the responsibility of this crisis goes to the shoulders of the past government. Therefore the care-taker government should take steps to make the oncoming elections transparent and just, get the people rid of dearness, release all political prisoners including people from legal and media communities, and do justice with judiciary because lawyers are respectable; Mufakkir-e-Pakistan and Bani-e-Pakistan (thinker and founder of Pakistan) belonged to this holy profession.

He further advised that mutual understanding should be adopted for permanent restoration of peace and security in sensitive areas because war also ends on negotiation.

Moosavi said those who announced to boycott or take part in elections are working on indications of an unseen power. They should work for Islam, Pakistan and people by making patriotism their imani she’aar, he added saying that the world is for a few days; here we should live in such a manner that people long to meet us and when we die, they keep remember us.

The TNFJ chief said American defense secretary’s indication to US army for direct action in Pakistan to eradicate terrorists is flat interference, therefore the government of Pakistan should raise this issue in United Nations and make clear that Pakistan played front-line role against terrorism. To enter foreign armies here is tantamount to an attack on our integrity and independence which is not acceptable. He said international community should openly condemn this statement of US defense secretary by taking notice of it. In this regard, Pakistan’s neighboring friendly states should also play their role, he added.

Moosavi reiterated his resolve to keep continue his peaceful practical struggle for defense of faith and motherland, and achievement of rights. No bargaining will be done in this connection, he added.

Heads of Tehreek’s central and subsidiary departments and delegates presented their reports in the meeting.

TNFJ’s central Azadari Cell was formed in the meeting to supervise arrangements of Muharram-ul Haram. Syed Shujaat Ali Bukhari, Sardar Mumtaz Qazilbash, Alaa Haider and Syed Bu Ali Mehdi have been nominated its convener, deputy convener, secretary and joint secretary respectively.

Moosavi announces “Youm-e-Sahabiyat”, resolves that by following in footsteps of Abu Zar he will not stay away from uttering truth

RAWALPINDI, December 13: The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has announced to observe “Youm-e-Sahabiyat” on Sunday December 16 to mark the death anniversary of great companion of holy Prophet (SAWW), Hazrat Abu Zar Ghaffari (RA).

In a special message issued from headquarters of Maktab-e-Tashayyo, he said honour and respect of faithful companions of holy Prophet (SAWW) is crystal clear. One of these faithful companions is Hazrat Abu Zar whose real name is Jundab bin Junada; his native land was Arab while clan was Bani Ghaffar. He is that great companion about whom it is narrated in authentic books of Fariqayn that holy Prophet (SAWW) said: Allah has not created more truthful than Abu Zar on the earth and under the sky.

One day, on reaching in the respected court of holy Prophet (SAWW) Hazrat Abu Zar saw him busy in talking to Dahiya Kalbi. Abu Zar stepped forward silently because at that time angel Gabriel in figure of Dahiya Kalbi was conversing with the Prophet (SAWW). Gabriel said to the Prophet (SAWW): What did Abu Zarr that he stepped forward without sending Salam while angels recite one of his prayers on heavens. After Gabriel’s departure, Risalat Maab said: O Abu Zarr! Why you did so? He replied: O lord, you were busy in talking; I passed away silently thinking that perhaps there is some secret talk. Then Prophet (SAWW) asked him about his prayer which he recite. Therefore Abu Zar read it to him which made clear Abu Zar’s knowledge, piety, nobility and excellence.

Abdullah ibne Abbas narrates that one day the Prophet (SAWW) was in Masjid-e-Quba and around him were his companions. He (SAWW) said the one who will enter from this door first, will go in paradise. Briefly all companions started stepping forward to the door but Abu Zar was the first to enter the door. Prophet (SAWW) asked: Abu Zar! Which Roman month is this? He replied: month of Azar is ending. Prophet (SAWW) said: I Know but only desired to tell that Abu Zar is from the people of paradise, and why should he not be??? He will be expelled from Medinah because of his love for my Ahle Bait (AS), and will die in state of loneliness in foreign, people of Iraq will perform his funeral rites considering him alien, they will be with me in that paradise which is promised by Allah to Saliheen (pious people).

Agha Moosavi further quoted an authentic tradition which is reported in many reliable books including Makarim Al-Ikhlaq of Sheikh Abu Ali Tibrisi that Abu Zar Ghaffari told Abul Asad Dilmi when he went to Abu Zar in Rabza that one mourning when he entered Masjid-ur Rasul (Prophet Mosque), find nobody there save a Quran and along with it was Sun of Risalat and beside him there was moon of imamate and wilayat. Considering privacy a blessing, I said: May I ransom you Maula-e-Kaenaat, give me such an advice which is beneficial for me in the two worlds. The Prophet of Allah (SAWW) stared at me and said: O Abu Zar! You are from our Ahle Bait (AS), in my sight you are a special servant of Allah, listen to me and listen to me carefully, keep in mind and follow it because this great advice is comprehensive of all good deeds, o Abu Zar worship Allah in such a way as you are seeing Him, and if you are not seeing Him, consider He is seeing you. This is that great and inclusive part of the hadis which is explained by Maula-e-Kaenaat Hazrat Ali (AS) in this manner. When he was asked: Have you seen that God whose worship you do? He replied: I would never worship Him if I had not seen Him. But I have not seen Him with apparent eye because it cannot perceive Him. I have recognized Him with the eye of heart and reality of faith for He is far from body and materiality.

It is the worth and status of companions of Muhammad (SAWW) and Aal-e-Muhammad (AS), the TNFJ chief said adding that from this one can gauge height of knowledge of Abu Zar. One can get rid of host of problems by practically following his seerat rather the whole world could be made a hub of peace.

On the occasion of “Youm-e-Sahabiyat” marking the death anniversary of Hazrat Abu Zar Ghaffari, Agha Moosavi reiterated his resolve that by following in footsteps of Abu Zar, he will not stay away from uttering truth.

Meanwhile, a TNFJ’s central committee to lay programs of “Youm-e-Sahabiyat” has been formed. Masroor Haider Bangash and Ali Furqan Jafri have been nominated its convener and secretary respectively.

The participants of the gathering unanimously adopted a resolution on the occasion making it clear that the great objective of Muhammad (SAW) and Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) was promotion of justice and fair-play and expressing hatred against oppression and brutality. The resolution opined that the Islamic World and the oppressed nations are still confronted with oppression and brutality, colonial oppression is going on in Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan, and Iraq and in these circumstances the international organizations are under the obligation to adopt a strong, stable and justifiable policy resolving their problems so as to root it out giving the oppressed people a sigh of relief. TNFJ announces to observe “Youm-e-Taqwa” marking martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Taqi (AS) … Moosavi says following in footsteps of Imam (AS) a source of deliverance

RAWALPINDI, December 8: Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said Hazrat Imam Muhammad Taqi Al-Jawwad (AS) held the highest status of piety and abstinence. By practically following in his pious seerat problems could be tackled.

He made his remarks while announcing to observe “Youm-e-Taqwa” on Dec 10 Monday marking the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Taqi (AS). Agha Moosavi said piety is the acme of human life objective. Allah says in holy Quran: O people! Adopt servitude of your that God Who has created you and those before you so that you may become pious.

He said great apparel of divine chosen persons and those who near Allah is the thing which is most useful in the journey of hereafter i.e. Taqwa (Piety). He said Taqwa has been considered the best and complete standard of honor, excellence and dignity. Therefore Allah says in Surah Al-Hujuraat: The most honorable in the sight of Allah is he who is pious.

The TNFJ chief made clear that the most respected in the whole universe is the family of Muhammad (SAWW) and Aal-e-Muhammad (AS); every member of this family is clothed in the apparel of excellence. One of these personalities is Hazrat Imam Muhammad Taqi (AS) Al-Jawwad (AS) who was titled as “Taqi” by holding acme of piety. His name is Muhammad and appellation Abu Jafar Sani. He is the tenth descendant of Prophet (SAWW) and the son of Ali (AS) and Batool (AS). Mamun posed him a question: Muhammad! Say, what is in my hand? The Imam (AS) replied: The Lord of the Universe caused rivers to run on the earth wherefrom clouds rise and go to the sky, with them are little fish, kings in the world keeping them (fish) close in their hands test Ahle Bait-e-Muhammad (SAWW). Mamun was forced to respect the Imam (AS) by getting this wonderful answer from Imam Taqi (AS), and used to take benefit from Imam (AS)’s knowledge and wisdom till his death.

As one of the significant distinctions of the Divine Chosen people is their extreme wisdom and intelligence, and the human history stands witness of lofty ranks of their wisdom therefore Ibne Taymiyah like personality pens that Muhammad bin Moosa Ar-Reza is one of the highest person of Bani Hashim who kept inclusive fame in generosity. On the same basis renowned scholar Muhammad bin Hashimi Afghani writes that king Mo’tasam was afraid of Imam Jawwad (AS)’s scholarly and spiritual greatness, therefore he called Imam from Medinah Munawwarah to Baghdad, kept Imam (AS) with him in order to remove him from his way.

Imam Taqi Al-Jawwad (AS) like his forefathers neither bend his head down nor was sold despite host of sufferings. He told the world of oppressors that we could be chained and killed but could not be stopped from saying truth. As a punishment of this he was martyred in 25 years of age with poison of deceit.

Extending condolence and consolation to the followers of Tauhid, Risalat and Wilayat on the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of this great figure, the Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Moosavi reiterated his resolve to keep continue his struggle for promotion, protection and defense of holy objectives of Risalat Maab (SAWW), his Ahle Bait-e-Atahaar (AS) and pious Sahaba Kibaar (RA).

Electoral politics on sectarian & group bases deadly poison, TNFJ Political Cell

ISLAMABAD, December 5: An important meeting of TNFJ Political Cell was held in Islamabad presided over by its chairman Zulfiqar Ali Raja. Besides central office-bearers, delegates from federal capital Islamabad and all the four provinces attended the meeting. On this occasion, recommendations to lay election policy in connection with the oncoming general elections were reviewed.

Addressing the meeting, Zulfiqar Raja said Political Cell of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya follows this saying and principle of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi that electoral politics on sectarian and group bases is deadly poison for the nation and the country, therefore this practice will be condemned practically in the upcoming vote and the Basic Ideology will be kept alive in every condition.

Central Leadership of TNFJ will soon announce Election Policy through a press conference in light of recommendations received by TNFJ political cell’s representatives across the country, he told.

He further advised to the political cell representatives to keep TNFJ’s Charter of Demand in front of those political parties and candidates who contact for cooperation in the elections. In light of these answers decisions to support will be taken; no promise should be made to any party or candidate before the election policy is announced.

Extending greetings to President Pervez Musharraf for holding presidential seat for the second time, he said Musharraf’s reelection as civilian president and appointment of Gen. Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani as Chief of Army Staff (COAS) is preface of promotion of democracy, strength of democratic institutions and a slap on the face of those forces that sabotage democracy.

He said the boldness and bravery displayed by Pervez Musharraf is not only a wise decision rather very sound and right, and the whole nation should commend it.

He said this peaceful change occurred in this critical time is lesson-giving for all stratums particularly politicians and leaders in whose words and deeds there exist contradiction, while Pakistan Forces are the biggest identity of honour, magnificence, muscle and power of the nation and the country; they presented matchless sacrifices in every tough time.

Agha Moosavi said our enemy keeps this pain that why Pakistan is getting more and more strength. During 60-year-period after Quaid-i-Azam, role of politicians is no more a secret; they became the root cause of army’s stepping in power; they wrote letters to implement Martial Law.

He said handing over the command to Gen Kiyani is historic step of Pervez Musharraf. He set a fine example keeping his self under control of wisdom. It is following in the steps of guides and leaders of religion and those who walk on shariat and tariqat.

He quoted crux of a saying of Ameerul Momineen Hazrat Ali ibne Abi Talib (AS) that beware, lest self-desires overcome you because at first they maintain their rule and then will kill you.

Now when Musharraf has taken oath as civilian president and handed over Pak Forces command to General Kiyani, and announcement to end state of emergency there is no justification for anyone to boycott elections. Now responsibilities of all political parties have become multiple, it is their test whether they give priority to interests of Pakistan or their self.

Had all stratums worked keeping themselves in their circle and limits, motherland would not have to face this kind of crisis, but now we have to ensure honour, respect and conferment of rights of all on equality level to adorn future and make Pakistan more and more stable keeping the past in front of us. Only in this way, dream of making the motherland a welfare Islamic State could be achieved.

Among those who addressed the meeting were Secretary General Prof. Ghulam Abbas Haideri, Syed Qamar Zaidi, Agha Syed Muhammad Murtaza Moosavi advocate, Allama Basharat Hussain Imami, Syed Abu Jafar Naqvi, Mehdi Askari Hazarvi, Nasir Karbalai, Alhaaj Ghulam Murtaza Chohan, Syed Mazloom Hussain Shah, Afzaal Hussain Shah, Shafqat Abbas Gardezi, Irshad Hussain Awan, Shaukat Abbas Jafari.
