Resolutions at high-level meeting urge govt to give priority to mutual understanding, demand scrutiny of financial statements of all orgs involved in quake relief activities, call upon OIC to take up Prophet (SAW) cartoon issue at UN forum

RAWALPINDI, January 14: The two-day high level meeting of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan, presided over by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, ended after adopting resolutions about important national and international matters.

According to Central Spokesman of the Tehreek, Syed Qamar Zaidi, the participants of the meeting through a resolution called upon the government to give priority to the policy of mutual understanding so as to keep the country free of all types of dangers and everyone should be considered faithful because no one is involved in treachery in the country. The resolution demanded that all national issues of sensitive nature should be resolved with mutual understanding.

Another resolution demanded scrutiny of the financial statements of all organisations and institutions involved in relief activities for the earthquake victims. In this connection the TNFJ’s Central Relief Committee is ready to offer itself first, for accountability, it added. Expressing heartfelt sympathy with the earthquake victims, the resolution appealed all philanthropists to deposit their donations in the President’s Relief Fund, in their nearby mosques, in Imambargahs, in religious institutions or directly in the office of Central Relief Committee of the TNFJ.

Yet another resolution while strongly condemning the continued oppression and brutality the world over said no one has the right to interfere in the Maktab and Maslak of another country. It called upon the United Nations to set the schedule of pullout of the foreign forces from Iraq and Afghanistan and the people in these countries should be given the right to live according to their own choice while Palestine and Kashmir issues should be resolved in line with the United Nations Resolutions keeping to the desire of people living there.

Another resolution strongly condemned publication of humiliating cartoons against the Holy Prophet (SAW) in a daily newspaper of Denmark and Magzinete of Norway after Quran desecration and negative propaganda against Islam termed it a heinous conspiracy against Islam.

The resolution demanded from the OIC to take up this important issue at the forum of United Nations while the Muslim heads of States should raise their voice of protest against it.

Strongly condemning the inclusion of banned groups in Peace Committees formed by the government, another resolution termed it sabotaging the Anti-Terrorism Act and the steps taken by President Pervez Musharraf to root out terrorism, and called upon the government, opposition and media to honour the law and do not encourage those banned groups that were operating with new names.

Yet another resolution expressing concern over the situation prevailing in Balochistan said that solution to all issues could be made possible only through mutual understanding, therefore, the government and personalities of Balochistan that matter should display sense keeping the norms of survival, solidarity and the spirit of patriotism in view so as to ensure restoration of peace not only in Balochistan but throughout the country.

The resolution expressed concern that super powers were increasing their pressure on Iran in the garb of its atomic issue that is totally aggression on their part and their double standards because they are not ready to raise any voice against what Hindus and Zionists were doing.

In these circumstances, it said, the Islamic World was under the obligation to summon an emergent meeting of the OIC and lay down a combined strategy to tackle the situation, otherwise, everyone would have to wait for her turn.

The resolution made it clear that Islam did not commit aggression rather was subjected to aggression quite often. It stressed the need to ensure implementation of the Makkah Declaration so as to see an end to all problems and difficulties and solution to problems of the Islamic World.

The resolution expressed complete solidarity with the oppressed the world over including that of Kashmir, Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan and demanded implementation on the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement for solution of problems faced by the Shiyan-e-Pakistan and equal representation to Maktab-e-Tashayyo on the basis of equality in all State departments.

Another resolution strongly condemned the Zaireen-e-Karbala incident terming it the work of colonial powers. It expressed heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved families of pilgrims who lost their life in Makkah Mukarramah incident.

An announcement to observe Hafta-e-Wilayat from 18-24 Zilhij in connection with Jashan-e-Ghadeer and Mobahila was made at the meeting. M.H. Jafri would be the Convener and Mumtaz Hussain Naqvi would be the Secretary of the Committee formed to organise programmes for Hafta-e-Wilayat.

QMJ Moosavi at high-level meeting resolves never to let Pakistan become a sectarian State, says fulfilling equally rights of all schools of thought must for solidarity, makes clear he could not be pushed back from his mission through attacks and blasts

RAWALPINDI, January 13: The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has reiterated his resolve never to let Pakistan, that came into being in the name of Islam, become a sectarian State.

He stated this in his presidential address delivered during the first session of the two-day high-level meeting of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan in which delegates from all the four provinces including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas and foreign countries participated.

Important national and international matters, especially the law and order situation and arrangements for the oncoming month of Muharram were reviewed and important decisions were taken that will be announced by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Hamid Moosavi through a Press conference.

Chief of Central and subordinate sections of the Tehreek and provincial and district delegates presented their reports at the meeting.

Agha Moosavi in his address said, Pakistan did not come into being in the name of any particular Maktab rather Quaid-i-Azam made the creation of the Islamic welfare State possible by gathering Muslims of the Sub-continent under the flag of Tauheed, therefore, the key to its survival, solidarity and development lay in fulfilling the rights of all schools of thought on the basis of equality.

He demanded from the government to ensure enforcement of Fiqh-e-Jafariya for Maktab-e-Tashayyo under the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement, introduce separate curriculum of Deenyat for Shia students in educational institutions, set up Shia Faculty in all Islamic Universities of the country and give ideological representation in Islamic Research Institute, appoint a Shia judge in Federal Shariat Court, give effective ideological representation to Shias in High Courts, give equal Shia representation in media, revoke all restrictions on Azadari of Syed-ush-Shuhada, set up a separate Shia Auqaf Board, give ideological Shia representation in Council of Islamic Ideology, revoke Article 30(3) in the Police Act 1861, implement the demand of reconstruction of holy shrines in Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Mualla so as to overcome the unrest found amongst the Shia community in Pakistan.

The TNFJ chief said that 30 years ago, a dictator had taken over the reigns of powers forcibly and if some particular circles had not provided him strength then the country would not have become a testing ground for terrorism and neither religious groups would have been banned nor problems like registration of Madaris would have been cropped up. He said the nation has to see bad days owing to those who adopted violent policy. President Pervez Musharraf had taken suitable steps to root out terrorism but the groups operating on the basis of foreign aid which were banned by him were active again with new names rather government, opposition and media encourage these elements.

He strongly demanded from President Musharraf to take strict notice of this situation and issue orders for effective implementation of Anti-Terrorism Act to tighten noose around banned groups. The TNFJ did not allow Pakistan to give up basic ideology and would not let anybody do that in future also.

He said he was stick to his promise made with the nation on February 10, 1984 and is busy day and night in protecting the belief and the motherland with complete sincerity of purpose.

Agha Moosavi made it clear that our main objective is religion and motherland while ‘Wila’, ‘Aza’, respect of Sadaat and Marjaiyyat is our habit. He said he himself was the target of the culprits of Bari Imam Incident and those who kissed Shahadat in that incident were parts of my heart. He said we could have created rumpus on that occasion but we are the offspring of Messenger of Peace and preachers of peace and tranquillity, that is why we left our decision on God Who keeps a voiceless stick.

He said the message of Islam and the pious mission of ‘Wila’ and ‘Aza’ is continuing owing to our peaceful policy. He made it clear that Islam did not spread through sword or Kalashnikov rather through pious character, love and devotion, we could not be pushed back from our mission through cowardice tactics like attacks and bomb blasts as we can bear our murder but would not allow anyone to murder our belief and motherland.

The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Hamid Moosavi said terrorism going on in the country for long is the work of combined enemy, as she desires to promote murder and arson in Pakistan also like other States and give it a sectarian colour but her designs were thwarted in the past and would meet the same fate in future also because there is no sectarian conflict throughout the world including Pakistan and Iraq.

He called upon all schools of thought to recognise their friends and foes and condemn all types of oppression, suppression, brutality and biases through display of mutual unity, and brotherhood. Super powers were trying to make excuses for interference in the Muslim States by using terrorism as their tactics so as to create their supremacy and they have practised this plan in Afghanistan and Iraq.

He said Iran and Syria are the next targets of colonial powers and then it could be anybody’s turn, one by one. He stressed the need of implementation on Makkah Declaration, formation of a strong and courageous strategy from the OIC platform for the solidarity of the Islamic World and to avoid Muslims from colonial aggression.
