RAWALPINDI – May 25: Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate, Central Secretary General of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, has announced a peaceful protest on the directives of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi against the desecration of Holy Quran throughout the country like other global parts on Friday May 27. In a handout issued here from Tehreek headquarters, he said religion is only one while there are five Shariats and Deen-e-Islam is the name of principles and Sharai. He said there is Shariat-e-Noah, Shariat-e-Ibrahim, Shariat-e-Moosa, Shariat-e-Eisa and the last one is Shariat-e-Muhammadi while Quran is the Last Book which is supporter and verifier of all prophets and all divine books, and it is that greatest book which is free from any type of errors and unmatchable Mazhar Ali Shah said the biggest source of Shariat, and fountainhead of Uloom and commandments is Quran, desecration of which is the desecration of all Sharai and divine books. He said the Islamic World would have to display practical unity and brotherhood so as to prove that their God is one, religion is one, Prophet (SAW) is one, Qibla (direction) is one, Book is one and they share their problems while injustice and oppression against any of them is oppression against Shariat and humanity. Meanwhile, a Central Committee of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya has been formed to organise programmes for the Day of Protest throughout the country. Meesam Tammar has been nominated as Convener and Abu Nasr Kazmi as Secretary of this Committee.
ISLAMABAD – May 24: Dr. Iqbal Javed Haideri, Chairman TNFJ Political Cell, has said that government and the opposition should adopt a joint strategy and point of view on important national and international affairs. He stated this while addressing the office-bearers of TNFJ Political Cell District Islamabad at Al-Murtaza here on Tuesday. He said at present the most important issues are that of Kashmir and Palestine on international level solution of which is necessary in line with the United Nations Resolutions keeping to the desire of the respective people without which durable peace could not be restored in South Asia and Middle East. Dr. Iqbal Haideri expressed his grave concern that international colonial powers and their agents were writing a new story of oppression in Kashmir and Palestine for quite long but the so-called champions of human rights were not lending an ear to this problem. The international Taghoot first shattered Afghanistan in the name of rooting out terrorism and then destroyed Iraq so much so that even the holy places were not spared. Now, he said, she was hurling threats not only on Iran and Syria but also displayed the evil intention by desecrating the holiest book Quran that is highly condemnable. On the other side, OIC was keeping a criminal silence strengthening international Taghoot further. He said if the Muslim rulers remained silent then Saudi Arabia could be the next Taghooti target. Dr. Haideri said the government and the opposition have limited themselves into their own shackles, a particular type of people are visible in the meetings, seminars and conferences organised by them while government and the opposition are equally ignoring the real power outside the Parliament i.e. the people. He said the followers of Fiqh-e-Jafariya adopted a positive posture in the larger interest of the nation and the country and nation would be led towards a right direction in future also. The Chairman TNFJ Political Cell called upon President Pervez Musharraf to ensure effective implementation of the Anti-Terrorism Act and issue special directive to stop the banned groups from working with new names. He also demanded imposition of ban on active politics on sectarian, lingual and group basis so as to stabilise democratic institutions and restore democracy in real terms in the country, correct the situation in Northern Areas, particularly in Gilgit, release the arrested students and form a Tribunal to probe the incidents there.
RAWALPINDI, Pakistan – May 23: Allama Tajuddin Haideri, Central Vice-President of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya has called upon the government to take the public representatives and Tulaba Action Committee into confidence instead of banking on Munpasand (self-favourite) Committees to restore durable peace and life in Gilgit and oust the defeated banned groups from the committees formed at government level. Moreover, he said, all patriotic circles, government and opposition should practically express their hatred against these groups while media should avoid giving coverage to such elements that introduced the menace of terrorism to the nation and the country with new names. He stated this while addressing the office-bearers in the office of TNFJ District Council Rawalpindi. Allama Haideri said the basic reason of worsening the situation in Northern Areas in the past was electoral politics from the sectarian platform that created hatred and biases and an unseen hand taking advantage of this situation made such changes in the educational curricula which were unbearable for all recognised schools of thought because no honourable Muslim could bear blasphemy against the Holy Prophet (SAW). He said not only this but Shia students were pressed to study curriculum contrary to their beliefs as a result of which Tulaba Action Committee came into existence. He said there are some black sheep in the Administration that preferred violence instead of taking stock of the situation and listening to the woes of the protestors owing to which the situation worsened further instead of becoming better. Stressing the need of implementation of directions by the President Pervez Musharraf to stop operation in Northern Areas and that Vice-Chief of the Army Staff and the Administration lay security plan jointly, he demanded that all schools of thought including the Tulaba Action Committee should be taken into confidence in planning to restore peace while Probe Tribunal should be set up to investigate the incidents. Demanding immediate release of the arrested students, he reiterated his resolve to display exemplary spirit of sacrifice and forbearance to promote mutual brotherhood and understanding for the development, stability and defence of the religion and the motherland. Alhaj Ghulam Murtaza Chauhan, President TNFJ District Council Rawalpindi, in his address on the occasion said workers of TNFJ District Rawalpindi are ever ready to offer all types of sacrifice on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi to achieve pious targets of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya.
RAWALPINDI, May 22: Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya has said that all conspiracies of enemies of religion and the motherland could be thwarted by being laced with the strong weapon of knowledge. He was talking to a representative delegation of Tanzim-ul Madaris Jafariya, Pakistan that called on him at the head of Hojjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Aqai Syed Hussain Muqaddasi here at Tehreek headquarters on Sunday. He said international Taghoot and its chief desires to snatch our biggest weapon – knowledge – to dominate her control to rule over the Muslim and the oppressed nations. For this purpose, she terms Muslims as terrorists and sometime as fundamentalists, playing holi with the blood of Muslims for the last 50 years, keeping her presence in Afghanistan and Iraq, shedding the Muslim blood profusely, and is continuously threatening Syria, Iran and Saudi Arabia. He said when you keep faith in Allah من يتوكل على الله فهو حسبه then no international Taghoot would interfere in our countries and would not have the courage to desecrate holy places, Mashaheer-e-Islam and Quran. Agha Moosavi said religious schools are the source of knowledge, therefore, Taghoot desires to take complete control over the same but the Muslim rulers were dancing to the tune of international Taghoot so as to keep their rule intact. Pakistan came into being in the name of Islam but like other Makatib, the rights of the Maktab-e-Tashayyo are also being encroached upon here, innocent citizens, students and even innocent children are being beaten up and threatened. Does Islam allow all this non-sense and had Pakistan came into being for this purpose? The TNFJ chief said that all forces should keep in mind that we have always given priority to the respect of humanity, dignity of the motherland and supremacy of the religion over all other things. Therefore we strongly demand from President Musharraf to get the atrocities of the Administration stopped in Northern Areas. He said لا إكراه في الدين use of force is not allowed in the religion and no one could be forced to adopt the belief of the others or seek education of any other belief. Under the May 21, 2005 agreement it was decided that justice would be done to the Maktab-e-Tashayyo like other Makatib, therefore, the ongoing encroachment of rights in Northern Areas should be stopped forthwith. He made it clear in unequivocal terms that the brightest and obvious path is only Islam basis of which are declared knowledge and wisdom. أول الدين معرفته Quran and Ahadis stand witness that how Islam stressed on seeking knowledge. From among these is: هل يستوي الذين يعلمون والذين لا يعلمون He said as Islam is deliverer not only for any particular area, sect, group and tribe but for the whole humanity, therefore it has been said اطلبو العلم من المهد إلى اللحد seek knowledge from the cot to the grave In this connection there is no restriction of being a Muslim or non-Muslim or that of time rather commandment is to seek knowledge from birth to death. He said no area has been earmarked for this purpose and it has been said أطلبو العلم ولو بالصين seek knowledge even you have to go to China He said for Muslims, seeking of knowledge has been declared obligatory without any condition of gender, طلب العلم فريضة على كل مسلم و مسلمة as all small, big, men and women should achieve knowledge. Seek knowledge from anyone and from wherever possible. He said another Hadis says فاطلبوها ولو عند المشرك, خذوا الحق من أهل الباطل ولا تاخذواالباطل من أهل الحق كونوا نقاد الكلام Achieve truth whether it is with Ahl-e-Batil (people of evil) and do not adopt evil whether it is with Ahl-e-Haq (people of truth), analyse the right things yourself that to what extent it is correct because your have been blessed with the wisdom and made the super most creature. Now the question is which knowledge is to be sought, every Maktab considered its meaning according to their own thinking and ideology considering that it is necessary to achieve it but from the Islamic point of view a human being has to ponder over about his duties and due responsibilities; Rights of Allah, Rights of People. One should must seek every knowledge that is necessary for fulfilling these rights. The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Syed Hamid Moosavi said Islam is that greatest religion that gives commandment of education in an Islamic society that is based on honour and dignity, that is laced with independence, freedom, patience and forbearance, that has faith in itself. Islam does not desire the followers of Islam to be at the mercy of anyone else, extend their hand in front of anyone and seek alms, loan, or charity. Quran stands witness on it. لن يجعل الله للكافرين على المؤمنين سبيلا Allah never desires Taghooti control over Muslims because it hates oppression, it came into being to root out oppression and restore justice and fair-play. For this purpose Prophets and Messengers were sent, benefiting from whose teachings we could not only root out oppression, brutality and exploitation rather the whole world could be turned into a hub of peace.
RAWALPINDI – May 21: Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate, Secretary General of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya has demanded from the government to form an Enquiry Commission forthwith to improve the situation in Gilgit so as to conduct enquiry under the norms of justice and fair-play and make its report public. He stated this while talking to office-bearers of Wahdat Ulema-e-Pakistan in their office under the leadership of Hojjatul Islam Allama Syed Muhammad Abbas Zaini. He said anarchy and differences in sensitive areas like Gilgit and Baltistan could only be checked when all sections of society avoid discrimination and rights of everyone are taken care of on the basis of equality. He said knowledge and awareness have been considered the foundation of the religion on the basis of which ulema enjoy an important place after Prophets, Messengers, Ahle Bait-e-Atahar, Sahaba Kubar, Aulia and Saleheen and who have been described as inheritors of Prophets and looking towards their faces is considered worship. Mazhar Ali Shah said there is a saying of the Holy Prophet (SAW) that soon a time would come for my Ummah when people would run away from ulema like a sheep runs away from a wolf. When this would happen, Allah would involve them in three things: take off barkat from the wealth, impose oppressive rulers on them, and people would leave this world without faith (Iman). He said the Holy Prophet (SAW) said that ask from ulema, talk with intellectuals and sit with fuqara but all this is for Ulema-e-Haq. The worst ulema are considered those who go to the rich, and the best rich are those who go to ulema. The responsibility of fulfilling the duty of Amar Bil Maaroof and Nahi Anil Munker lay on ulema the most. The TNFJ Secretary General said today the Taghooti world has given the wrong meanings to jihad; they are increasing the pressure on oppressed nations and Muslims by declaring them fundamentalists, extremists and terrorists so as to create justification for her interference. After destructing Afghanistan, massacre in Iraq is going on and at present Iran is their target. They are using new tactic every day to increase the pressure further so as to weigh the Muslim strength. They desecrated the holy places in Iraq, showed torch to religious books, attacked the honour and dignity of Mashaheer-e-Islam and now have committed desecration of Quran but the Islamic World did not move, every Muslim rulers has restricted himself to his own shackle and give a damn to the nation. They only keep their rule dearest, he said adding that they should have summoned OIC emergent session, Islamic World should have increased pressure on the United Nations by announcing that if this activity was not checked and a punishment for it was not proposed then they would quit the United Nations because there is no justification for such an organisation to exist that was created to protect and defend the rights of all but is following a biased course, particularly treating Muslims hypocritically. Shah said the Islamic World Authority should register a case with the international court because desecration of Quran is the desecration of Islam and no religion bears desecration of its Holy Book. He said Pakistan is an atomic power having Islam as its Basic Ideology and is the citadel of Islam. Pakistan should raise this issue with full force. He called upon the government to implement the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement so as to pay the rights of the Maktab-e-Tashayyo like other Makatib for the progress and stability of the country.
RAWALPINDI – May 20: Syed Shujaat Ali Bokhari, Additional Secretary General of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan, has demanded from the government to remove the unrest found amongst Maktab-e-Tashayyo by implementing the May 21, 1985 agreement aimed at resolving the Shia problems. He stated this while addressing an important emergent meeting of Regional Council TNFJ Rawalpindi office-bearers here on Friday. He said for the progress and prosperity of the motherland Pakistan which is an ideological State, it is obligatory for rulers not only to defend and protect the rights of the people but also avoid any slackness in doing so. He said Pakistan enjoys the honour of being created through the joint struggle of all recognised schools of thought, then 31 ulema prepared 22 points jointly but these are placed in books only and are not implemented. Later, in Ayub era when Maktab-e-Tashayyo was pressed, we raised our voice for achievement of our rights, then separate Deenyat (Islamic studies) curriculum was implemented in Bhutto era.
He said Ziaul Haq took over the reign of power in a coup, and announced to make Pakistan a particular State in violation of Basic Ideology the consequences of which are still being confronted by the nation. He said reacting to Gen. Zias announcement, TNFJ took over the Islamabad Secretariat as a result of which an agreement was reached with Gen. Zia but this agreement was never implemented. Bokhari said TNFJ organised peaceful agitation again in which thousands of Sunnis, Shias and even Christians courted arrest on Tehreeks call and we are thankful to them all even today. He said an agreement was reached with Junejo government on May 21, 1985 on 11 Shia demands that included separate Deenyat curriculum for Shias and separate Shia Auqaf Board. All these demands are not only legal and correct rather are in line with the Constitution because in Article 8 of Chapter 1 of Part-II of the 1973 Constitution, it is written Any law, or any custom or usage having the force of law, in so far as it is inconsistent with the rights conferred by this chapter, shall, to the extent odf such inconsistency, be void. The State shall not make any law which takes awy or abridges the rights so conferred In Article 20 of the same Chapter under the topic of Freedom to profess religion and to manage religious institutions, it has been written Subject to law, public order and morality —- every citizen shall have the right to profess, practice and propagate his religion; and every religious denomination and every sect thereof shall have the right to establish, maintain and manage its religious institutions. Similarly, in Article 22 under the topic of Safeguards as to educational institutions in respect of religion, etc it has been written that no person attending any educational institution shall be required to receive religious instruction, or take part in any religious ceremony, or attend religious worship, if such instruction, ceremony or worship relates to a religion other than his own . No religious community or denomination shall be prevented from providing religious instruction for pupils of that community or denomination in any educational institution Moreover, in Article 25 under the topic of Equality of Citizens it has been written that all citizens are equal. The TNFJ Additional Secretary General asked President Pervez Musharraf that whether all these Articles of the Constitution are being implemented? If not, why? If Constitutions of Pakistan was implemented then the situation in Northern Areas would not have worsened where schools and colleges are closed down and students are being beaten up sending a wave of unrest and anarchy in these areas. He appealed the President of Pakistan that to develop, strengthen and stabilise Pakistan, he should declare it a must that whereas rights of all schools of thought should be taken care of on the basis of equality, there the rights of Maktab-e-Tashayyo should be given forthwith under the Junejo-Moosavi agreement because Maktab-e-Tashayyo has equally rendered sacrifices in creating Pakistan and play equal role in protecting and defending the country and would prove a defensive wall in defending the country even in future, but no more injustice now, he added. He said if rights of all schools of thought are given on the basis of equality then not only the country would be put on road to progress but its dignity and honour would also increase further and it would become the best example for other States. Syed Shujaat Bokhari expressed his concern that at present the world of humanity, particularly the oppressed nations and the Islamic World are confronted with oppression, brutality and suppression, aggression of the international Taghoot is increasing the day in and day out and the situation has reach to the extent that not only the holy places but also the Mashaheer-e-Islam and religious books, particularly Holy Quran are being desecrated openly, Pakistan that was created in the name of Islam and is an atomic power is being humiliated through derogatory cartoon. In this situation, he said, the practical unity and brotherhood of the oppressed and the Islamic World was the need of the hour.
