Shia Problems: Delegation of TNFJ meets Federal Minister for Interior

ISLAMABAD, JULY 5, 2022:            A representative delegation of Tehreek e Nifaz e Fiqah Jafariya Pakistan led by TNFJ’s Central Secretary for Public Relations Syed Hassan Kazmi met with the Federal Minister for Interior Rana Sana ullah.

The meeting discussed important matters including the problems faced by Maktab e Tashayyo visa vis the constitutional and religious rights and issues related to upcoming Muharram ul Haraam.

The delegation also presented written proposals and recommendations to the Federal Interior Minister.

Allama Syed Mohsin Ali Hamdani, Allama Bisharat Hussain Imami, Allama Tasawar Hussain Naqvi, Raja Zulfiqar Ali and Malik e Ashter also accompanied Hassan Kazmi in TNFJ’s delegation.

The TNFJ’s delegation reminded that Majalis and mourning processions of Azadari held in memoir of the savior of humanity Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) depict the glory and dignity of Islam as well as protection of the human and moral values hence, participated by not only the Shia community but members of other sects and religions also.

However, for the last few years, unjustifiable restrictions have been imposed on the programs of Azadari where the respect of Chadar and Chardeewari was violated by stopping Majalis e Aza held inside the four walls, banning of peaceful Ulama and Zakireen in various districts and FIRs registered against innocent Azadars and organizers of Majalis in different parts of the country.

TNFJ delegation demanded that the programs of Azadari must be protected in accordance with the Moosavi-Junejo agreement of 21st May 1985 besides lifting unjust restrictions. On this occasion the delegation brought the matter of biased and discriminatory educational curriculum introduced under the garb of the so called Single National Curriculum and urged the government to cancel the SNC course presently implemented for Class-1 to Class-5 in educational institutions at primary level terming the course as a deviation from the teachings of holy Quran and Sunnah as well as violation of democratic and constitutional rights.

The delegation demanded to restore Shia religious curriculum for the students belonging to Fiqah jafariya. The delegation also appreciated cancellation of the printing of SNC books for class 6 to 8. Highlighting the matter of innocent people booked in Schedule-IV in certain districts, the delegation demanded to remove the names of innocents from the schedule-IV lists.

To curb extremism, radicalism, and terrorism the TNFJ delegation stressed upon the need to act on all points of National Action Plan declaring it as the only option to find lasting peace. The delegation demanded to clutch proscribed groups operating using old and new names while also demanded to purify government institutions from the members of proscribed organizations.

TNFJ also demanded to open closed shrines of Auliya e Karam including the shrine of Syed Sakhi Mehmood Badshah and shrine of Baba Saha Abdul Lateef renowned as Bari Imam in Islamabad, the holy shrine of Bibi Pak daman in Lahore, and the shrine of Badshah Anwar Ghag in Parachanar and resume the programs of Meelad, Azadari and Urs at these shrines.

On this occasion, the Federal Minister for Interior Rana Sana ullah expressed his love and reverence for the sacred personalities of Ahl ul Bait (A.S) expressed complete consensus with the demands of TNFJ and assured full support and concrete actions to resolve stated problems. Rana Sanaullah said that ensuring delivery of equal rights for all sects as per the constitution of Pakistan is the aim and objective of the government and will be ensured.
